Dude, most of us here never said we don't need Yao even when we were winning. But for you to come and try to make it a "I told you so" after our streak just ended is just lame.

Why should the fans bother staying if Tracy McHeartless doesn't?

Houston Rockets without McGrady since he got here - 20% of games won.

    With McGrady - 60%.

    You do the Math.

McGrady his alot of people for open looks - no one was hitting their shots, and we couldn't get any rebounds.

boston really clogs the lane and protects the basket really well... they have that dude name KG who is pretty good at defending the basket... you can't knock tmac so much because they really were focused on getting the ball out of his hands... even when he posted up they were running guys at him...

Anyone watched Shane's TNT interview a moment ago ?

Shane is such a great guy, loved what he said and his positive attitude.

"This team plays hard and plays with its heart"

Although most guys do not like this comment, but TMac was disappointing tonight. Absolutely no drive!!! Rockets will be burned by any opponent if TMac 's offense was shut off like this.

Thanks for the streak guys.... really thank you

For people on this forum who are critisizing this team for their flaws...think about it

when we win and either tmac or alston does bad...we overlook it because we won

when we lose and either tmac or alston do bad....we critisize like no tomorrow. We were eventually going to lose and I'm extremely proud of this team going as far as they did without landry or yao.

Thank you Houston Rockets...Lets focus on getting out of the first round now.

Give me a break. If they can stay late for a win, they can stay to applaud something that they may never see again....and it's hometown team!!

    Fran Blanbury said it best...

    http://blogs.chron.com/franblinebury/2008/03/the_rats_are_jumping_ship.html#comments

    The rats are jumping ship.
8 minutes to go. All indications are that the streak is over and here are a bunch of swells in the mid-court seats fleeing up the aisles to run to their limos.

OK, so they lose tonight. OK, so they get hammered.

After 22 in a row -- the second longest streak in NBA history -- if you want to look yourself in the mirror in the morning and call yourself a real fan, you stay to the end and as the final seconds tick down you rise to your feet and you yell your head off and you blow the roof off the building and you salute the Rockets for the accomplishments.

    You show your class.

I really wished Adleman would have sat Tmac out longer and played bobby jackson or luther head....we definitely had our stagnant offense of early season and the hustle and loose ball action was left for shane and hayes instead of all 5 men on the court....cmon rockets bounce back and get ready for round 2.

i'll just apologize in advance for ruining all of the mojo of this streak and attending my first rockets game in years. some people at work were getting tickets and i bought them a month ago, not knowing i was going to jinx the streak.

and i was going to go on a long rant about how terrible the D was (don't let boston's fg% fool you, they got so many easy looks), the worst rebounding game i've ever seen (i'm not sure we even grabbed a defensive rebound on their first missed shot of a possession), tmac not driving AT ALL, and no role player playing worth a crap, or letting leon powe school us, or being so outright ****ty that you couldn't even get a proper send off for the streak b/c you sucked so bad everyone just left, but i'll just say:

thank you so much for this streak, one of the best sporting experiences i've ever been through. it seemed incredible at 15 or so and the fact it's now #2 all-time can't be taken away. hopefully we burn the game tape, tmac discover his drive (literally and figuratively), we get back to playing a little defense, and we make some shots again and don't let this road trip suck. we can win at least 1 of these next 3 games, though PHO and GSW will be damn tough.

    thanks rockets.

well, if we have to take a loss, the best is this game. Losing to the No 1 team in NBA from eastern is acceptable.

Thanks Rockets for giving us a long time party, despite the mixture of missing YM and Landry.

SO TRUE. I think the fans should have stayed and gave a standing ovation. I dont think I can blame T-Mac for the loss. He was being doubled teamed all night and made some great passes. Garnett kicked it up a notch ala Emeril 2nd half. BAM ! End of story.

Boston played great defense tonight. T-Mac disappeared in the second half, which didn't create open looks for the team. I don't know why he kept on posting up so much in the second half.

Boston just got all the loose balls, all the rebounds and that just made it even more difficult. And then we can't even make our free throws.

Now I gotta hear everybody at work say "I told you they were going to lose". Oh well tomorrow's another day.

that's really what pisses me off the most. i knew the streak had to end, i even knew it was probably going to end tonight, but i thought the one consolation to losing would be the standing O the team would get for the streak if they did lose. but they were so downright horrible i knew everyone was gonig to leave early and they did. could've been special to send them off if it had been a hard fought loss. unfortunately, their play tonight wasn't at all deserving of it. i mean i stayed to the end and everyone else that did gave them the standing O, but it sucked b/c it wasn't nearly what it should have been.
