i am glad this is a home game.

if we play this one on the road, I do not think we can make it.

    End of 1st

Well, I guess considering we are playing like crap, and down only by 6, I would say the quarter was a success:confused:

He got his first touch at about 9:30 mark.

So far he touched the ball about 5 times, scored on 2-2, assisted on a basket for Spoon, passed out a DT once, and got Raef a foul the other time.

We have had 25 possesions so far. Does 5 out 25 (20%) means that they are going to him on almost every possesion?

Believe me, don't go by stats, Yao has probably touched the ball more times in that quarter than he has in a loooooooong time!

And that is a wonderful thing, he has been extremely aggressive early on here, and that is probably the only positive in the game now. He willed his way to the basket a couple of times and gave a facial to Blount after knocking him back a few times first.

Good showing from Yao so far, not so sure about the rest of the team

Worrell is big on his Worrelisms.

Yao: Gentle Giant, Shanghai Shake, The Great Wall.

"If the left one don't get you, then the right one will."

"Three point play the old-fashioned way."

    "Ice-water in the veins."

    "Calvin... you got cookies everywhere."

Maybe it was and he realized how AMAZINGLY COOL it sounds and decided to keep it.

Too bad I live in Buffalo so I can't hear it. :(

Someone tape him saying "Tracy with a Facy" and post it.:D

That's EXACTLY why the Rockets will be a one and done team unless they can get Yao more touches. If that's all they can get him in a loooooooog time, they will be swept by the Sonics and Kings for sure.

OT: UVM is up 4 on Syracuse with a minute left in OVERTIME. This will royally kill my bracket.

Alright, it's obvious that the jumpers are not falling. Yao better get his no-foul having butt off that bench!

They have us on the defensive, we are responding to them instead of them responding to us. That is a sign of low intensity/aggressiveness by the Rockets.

Tracey is trying to force his way inside, but that is slightly not working, because they are jamming him inside.

Barry and Mike James not making their shots so far.

Yao is better on offense, Mutombo better on Defense and in running the break.

As a whole, the Rockets are NOT making the outside shots, and that is a BIG problem.

Yao pretty much has to carry us tonight if our guards continue to have an off-night shooting.

GO YAO! (I like his aggressiveness tonight)

    WTF.

    Nooooooo.

By the way, I was KILLED on the first day of the Clutch ESPN Tournament Challenge.

I was 5-3 I think after the first 8 games.

I see you are trying to start something like in the past:rolleyes:

I hope you don;t get flamed.

But with that being said, Yao does need more touches THIS game, since we are not making anything from outside.

    It is a game-to-game situation

The refs are calling all contact inside.... that's what the Rockets will have to do.

I just want Yao out there, because the team seems to take better shots overall, when he sits, it seems like its jumper after jumper in every game I see
