actually, a lot of times (and not just this game) Yao gets great position and waves his arms up demanding the ball, but they swing it around or take the perimeter shot. Its up to his teammates to get him the ball in that situation. When I watched the Knicks with Ewing, if he put his arms up with position, you knew they were gonna feed him the rock. Maybe Ewing was respected more by his teammates or maybe it was that the Knicks had very few offenisve weapons except their center, unlike us. Whatever it is, we have to learn to adjust and feed the hot hand if the gameplan ain't working.

You mean Don Chaney behind the mike with Bill Worrell? Or the Temple coach? (a hint to maybe sending someone to pummel Pierce to send a message?)....

Since I did not watch the game but I do notice that we lost cuz our 3s not falling. So who can tell me our 3s shot are open or forced, if open then just unlucky if forced then it is really a problem and I will blame why not go to yao more. That's it, they play hard and have heart I will be ok. Just one lose no big deal.

I would say 3/5 open. But for those open ones, our percentage is much lower than before. So just bad luck.

    yeah 3/5 open 2/5 forced.

BTW I actually liked Sura driving inside. He was being aggressive..and taking it in..even though missing.

Celtics really didn't impress me that much defensively..when we wanted to drive..we could...like Mike James..and Tmac..they couldn't stop penetration. We just couldn't execute early and fell too behind.

Oh well we are going to win on Sunday.

Yao should get 15 attempts minimum. There's no excuse (outside of a 3x) for JVG to not demand that they give Yao more touches. It's also up to Yao to get more aggresive and demand the ball more. If Hakeem only got 7 shot attempts in one game, he probably would beat the crap out the PG's in the lockeroom.

I feel that he will never truly understand the essence of American basketball. Jordan would strangle his teammates if he were only allowed 7 shots in an embarrassing loss, and Lebron would have fought his teammates or have driven them out of the town if he were not given the ball.

Every NBA player has ego and no one probably truly enjoys setting up his teammates for basket (save Kidd and Stockton). You don't set an example and ask for the ball, you are not gonna get it.

Yao wants to be a better player than Amare? Ask for the ball. It does not matter how hard you work and how many summers you spend working on your game. If you get the number of shots like a 3rd string NBA baller, you are never gonna be better than another Smits.

How a guy being so passive, a p***y as you guys call him, put up 12 FT attempts?

    Here's the question for you.

Warriors lead Suns by 9. That's the only good news. Oh and fakers lose.

Stop this. This is a problem but not main problem. Everyone watching the game could see in the second quarter they kept feeding yao the ball. Yao did above-average to utilize these passes. Then, he got into foul trouble. ****ing refs!

The problem of this loss is that our defense is too crap and our offense is not as sharp as previous games. EVERYONE (except barry) lost their post in every opportunity (FT, layup, wideopen), very unusual.

JVG after the game said that the effort wasn't there...I thought it was there it was just done in a sloppy way...and that's why we got "shredded". Ridiculed/chastised the people/his players who are talking championship talk, saying that we haven't even qualified for the playoffs yet. Said that when you come in with "arrogance" into this game and play without effort you get "shredded".

BTW, hey Pierce....See You Next Tuesday

At least we lost to a division leader and not a cellar-dwellar like GS. :D

another thing is those 7-8 non-shooting fouls yao drew on the defense actually hurt us more than them. if they didn't call those, it would have been an automatic 2 points each time since Yao had the ball deep. that was a big reason he only had like 4 shots going into the half even though he got a decent number of touches. we shoulda gave him more though.

Barry, TMAC, James talked about championship. And Yao said "sounds good".
