What's next for Rockets? Get within 5 by the end of 3rd quarter to have a realistic chance.

    I second that!

As bad as the Rockets are playing now, T-Mac's 10 points, 3 assists, 4 rebounds don't look so bad.

The problem? Well, he has 4 turnovers (although Pierce has 3 so that kinda cancels it out). He also is only 4-12 from the field, but at least a couple were easily non-calls by the refs.

But it makes sense for the refs to give Celts more room to be physical, because they are the aggressors now, and the Rockets are playing softer than the Comets:eek:

Celtics got 11 fouls called on them, 7 for guarding Yao.

The Rockets need to bring their A defense in the second half, and go to Yao and TMac as much as possible in the second half. No more 1-7 bricks from Sura and careless TOs by MJ.

Please give me your source for these numbers. I thought almost for sure Yao has passed out more times than that in the 2nd quarter. I likes his aggressiveness in the 1st quarter, but then he stopped for some odd reason, just when his teammates started getting him the ball more.

Any less of him? I would think MORE of him if he becomes a ball hog, that is every Rocket fan's dream!;)

Come on Yao, carry us baby, it is your night. Just think about Amare posterizing you

Where is Charles Barkley when you need him:(

Go rewind the tape and watch the game again. I am not sure that I can count on your math when you claimed that we went to Yao on almost every possession in the first quarter.

They did not go to him for the first time in the first quarter until we were down 5 or 6, and that was after Tracy, Spoon, Wesley, and even Spoon (got blocked) all launched bricks.

They thought that they would shoot lights out and blow out the Celtics. When things got rough in the second quarter, JVG called TO and made sure that Yao got the touch.

One thing I don't understand is Yao's assist average is lowest this season. If he passes ball so frequently, how come he doesn't get credit for more assists? He was widely praised for his intelligent passing as big man of his size when he entered the league. What transformed him to be a "bad" passer now? JVG is causing that?

Excuse me for not being accurate! I try to estimate as much as I can, but I guess you are basing your "stats" on your own analysis as well.

When I said Yao was getting the ball on every position, that was an obvious exaggeration, but I meant that he got a lot of touches.

I will try to stay away from giving a numerical assessment of what is going on next time, so I don't offend your "math". I am really not in the mood to bicker with anyone tinight.

    Sorry to offend you.

    Now back to the game!

The diference is the Rox are a good team that moves the ball, often Yao's outlet pass initiates the passing, he is a good passer, just that the ball gets moved around more instead of getting jacked up the minute it gets kicked back out

I would put Bowen on Walker. At least he won't give up open 3s.
