My point is you tried that "said it a dozen times and no one can counter" garbage before and got it gloriously thrown back in your face. You've got this deluded mindset that it's you against the board and you're right all the time.

5 Rockets shoot the ball more times than Shane Battier per game. Bonzi is about to make it 6. He's very efficient from three and an excellent defender. The Grizzlies are a disaster right now without him. At the time of the trade, I didn't like the price the Rockets paid, but for this year, I'm hardly concerned about Battier.

It took the worst loss of the season to be back discussing this nonsense. If you don't understand by now that we got the best player in that deal without the "building for the future" caveat you're just not watching Gay's progress that closely. Gay is a one dimesional, Battier is a complete player, that's what the front office saw that we didn't, and no amount of second guessing can change that. Is Gay gonna get better? Maybe, we'll see, but if he was on a .500+ team he would be at the end of the bench.

hey just stick to shooting. anytime you get the ball, just shoot. no dribbling, no passing, just shooting.

I just want to point out, that this was more than losing a game to the worst team in the NBA w/o our 2 best players.

We lost the game to a team that was wanting to lose in order to win more ping pong balls. :( :p

This game once again proves how pathetic our role players are, especially the socalled one of the best 3 point shooters in Luther Head. We all know Rafer is clueless without TMac, but how about the others players who are suppposed to be step up? Instead, they choked.
    Yeah, that's why they're scrubs.

Hmm... Their is something wrong with this post.

You called them "role players" (by definition players who thrive by playing a particular role and are good with certain other players and/or systems). Last night they were without their two best players and therefore they were no longer asked to be role players. They had bad games. I guess thats why they are role players huh.

Well, what happens between me and my wife is just that...between me and my wife! :)

My point is that if my life only consisted of the Rockets, I would go crazy. I've been a Rockets fan all my life (31 years). They've won two championships in my life. I'm an all or nothing person. So, the way I see it they have two ultimately successful seasons. That would make it a pretty dreadful life if that summed up my life.

Still, I was pretty pissed off at this loss.

Exactly! Battier was not brought here because of his offense but because of his defense and willingness to do the little things needed to help a team win games. He only looks bad when games like last night occur and his lack of offense gets highlighted. He's never been what you'd call an offensive player so it's rather silly to characterize him as such and then rip him when he fails to live up to the label.

I can't decide which would be worse... getting a root canal at the dentist, or watching the last 12 minutes of this game. It's a tossup, and it made me want to toss up the Girl Scout cookies I had bought from my daughter, munching away on thin mints while I suffered through this fiasco. What an embarrassment.

I'm pretty sure the Suns went 2 and 4 with just Nash missing... I don't think they would fare any better with Amare out as well.

But anywho, embarassing loss... terrible performance by Rafer, Luther, Shane, Kirk... hell, anyone not named Bonzi Wells. But I don't think this is anything to get really depressed over. It's a horrible loss, yes, but it is a loss without our main two and a terrible day for everyone else. Rare occurrence. Even Rafer is better than a 1-11 night shooting. On a more average shooting night, we were competitive with the Phoenix Suns without T-Mac/Yao. This was just a fluke.
