    Head is a good player.

But man, he sucks when playing PG.

Stop playing him at PG, JVG.

And yes, V-Span is better than him at PG.

Guys, what the HELL happened. I stopped watching PBP in the 3rd thinking its over, and it SHOULD HAVE BEEN FRIGGIN OVER ALREADY. I know I'm not being productive here and that it's just one game, but I need to vent. Why can't we just close out without Mac or Yao? WHY?! There is absolutely no good reason to lose to the Celtics. Do you know why? Because they're the CELTICS! THEY SUCK! ARGH! I'm gonna go watch TV now and avoid Sportscenter and every single highlight reel of this game. Forever. Okay, so now I'm better. Anyways, time to pitch in my thoughts. How are we going to get anywhere losing to a garbage team like the Celtics. Even worse, how are we going to win when we give up double digit leads to one of the worst teams in the league, a team thats been in "reconstruction" mode (That's a euphimism for they're not very good) for as long as I can remember. Maybe it is time to play these so-called bench players. Because maybe, just maybe, if our starters play like this ever again, I'm going to send a letter to the Rockets organization telling them to remove all starters except for Mac and Yao and replace them with our buddy VSpan and that other guy... uh... Novak! Yeah him. We'll throw in some other guys too but for now, I'm done ranting. Peace y'all and have fun with life.

what a frustrating loss. obviously we blow them out if tracy plays but who cares? we needed this one and the atlanta one but instead we're watching homecourt slip away.

luther head makes steve francis look like steve nash. if he's not hitting shots he is one of the worst players in the nba. period. he can't finish, he can't penetrate, he can't create, and he can't defend. he's a short matt bullard.

luckily he's on way more than not, which keeps him valuable.

all that said, you can't even take anything away from this game, because as a whole unit we're far superior to this. only thing you can really do is vent.

Wow, this is an embarassment. The Rockets must've thought the Celtics would call it a day like they usually do near the end of the 3rd quarter, since they are tanking this season for Oden/Durant.

Well, this just goes to show you:

    1) No Yao and T-mac: We might be worse than the Celtics

    2) With T-mac: We're a good team in the west

    3) With Yao and T-mac: Elite team in the west, contender?

It is games like this that remind me that I'm too involved with our beloved Rockets. Games like this remind me that these Rockets have a habit of doing the most inexplicable things. They just did the one thing that I thought was impossible for the Rockets to do...loose to Boston at home! No matter what they do from here on out...if they beat Phoenix on the road, if they win the season series with the Spurs, if they take the next two against the Jazz...it will not atone for this loss or the loss to the Hawks. You don't get games like this back. It does not make or break a season, but it sure hurts. So, after the game I finished a project with my wife and just realized how thankful that there is a lot more to life than the Rockets!

The 95 Rockets were the 6th seed and won the championship against Orlando....

I believe that is the only time a team without home court in any round won a championship.

It has only happened once in football too.....the Steelers 2 years ago.

So, you see, Homecourt is CRUCIAL.

The last minutes of that game were really painful to watch. It felt just like watching the good ol' Rockets 05-06.

The game was frustrating, but it shouldn't be a surprise to anybody that when our two main guys who our team is built around our out, we're not very good. It shouldn't surprise any one at all. Granted this game was winnable, and it was frustrating, but it just shows you how much teams need their superstars. That's why they're superstars.

This should be a reminder to all of us, when you take 2 superstars off the floor this team's talent level drops dramatically. The Rockets talent level to me outside of Tracy and Yao just isn't that good. They are all really nice guys and a few of them are good complimentary players, but thats as far as that goes. We have very few players that have any ability to create their own shot, or a shot for others. Even TMAC admitted there just are no playmakers on the floor that can create their own shot.

I look at the elite teams Dallas and Phoenix, and obviously if you take Nash or Nowistski off the floor for them the are not nearly as good, but they have enough overall talent on the roster to win a game against a team like Boston. Dallas and Phoenix still have guys outside of their superstars that can create their own shot and a shot for others. What I would give for guys like Terry, Stackhouse, Barbosa, Diaw, and Bell. These guys while not superstars have the ability to create their own shot.

I think this team when at full strength has a legitimate chance to do some great things, but without our stars, we are are no better than we were last year. Tonight just reminded me of that.

Losing to NOK hurt bad. Losing to ATL hurt worse. Losing to Boston? Boston? They are tanking!!! They want the top pick-that pick is worth more to them than this game.

They beat us on pride at our house!!!!!!!
    This should never happen.

to the JVG zealots- relax and do not hyperventilate-I'm not doggin' Van Gundy-this is on our back court. Head and RAfer both mailing it in...

Is Shane hurt and we do not know it?. He got smoked in ATL and now this game.....

You cannot lose to teams like this and end up with home court. You need every edge you can get.

We will be in a bind Wed playing Toronto at home - Tor is a whole lot better team than Boston or ATL or NOK. This run of easy games should have moved us up closer to SAn Antonio in standings- we did not capitalize on our schedule being weak.

This is disappointing and frustrating. Our roll players are better than this and are accountable.

This is going to hurt us.

This is how CD decided to build the team so I guess it's up to us to learn to live with these occasional "setbacks". If memory serves, virtually everybody was lavishing high praise on the organization for this roster at the beginning of the season so why so many folks are b****ing now is a mystery to me. This team was built to JVG's specifications: 2 star players surrounded by a roster of one dimensional role players. The roster is not all that athletic and loaded with some age because they (Rockets) don't believe in using the NBA draft to find talented players. There are deficiencies at the PG & PF spots that still need to be addressed and on some nights this is a team that will struggle to put points on the board. The one saving grace for them this year has been that Tmac was able to come back from injury and play for an extended period after Yao Ming went down. Had that not happened then what you saw last night would have been the norm and not the exception this season.
