His tempo? What is that, his internal rhythm monitoring organ?

It was the correct call. Yao's feet were inside the arc under the hoop, so he couldn't draw a charge.

that wasn't a flagrant foul. Scalabrine didn't intentionally elbow Yao in the temple, his reflexes are just too slow for him to have changed what he was doing. Yao stepped in front of a speeding train. That's all there is to it.

flagrant fouls don't have to be intentional.

"A flagrant foul-penalty (1) is unnecessary contact committed by a player against an opponent. "

Just like most players don't raise their knees when they go for a layup, he shouldn't have stuck out his elbows..

I agree, Barry has been crucial for the Rockets' success in the past, mainly because he was our sharpest shooter and was a smart enough player who knew how to get his spots and wait for that McGrady pass to drill it. He's also been very important for overall team chemistry on the court, that's one area where his presence always helps (he was the Rockets' energizer bunny the past season, and the team just seemed to always play better when he was in the game.

On a side note, when your players start injuring themselves without anyone near them, you know you're getting old...
