ClutchFans Game Thread: Celtics @ Rockets 11/4/2008

This game is our litmus test. i gotta bad feeling though. the world champions are probaly scathing after being humiliated by the pacers. you know there gonna be pumped. what i fear is tracy is still nowhere near ready. on defense it could get ugly. with his knee, it will be mighty hard chasing ray allen who moves very well off the ball. tracy is gonna be doing alot of chasing on defense. .

 

Screw the election. America needs to have their eyes fixed on this.

Ray allen is still in a slump, while tmac is getting stronger.

Interesting match up outside the big 3 comparison, rondo and AB, Powe and Landry.

 

The only thing I worry about is that the Celtics are just coming off a brutal defeat in Indiana and I think they would be looking for a win because they are probably going to be pissed off. I hope the Rockets don't play their scrubby offense though, it's not going to work against the Celtics. We really need everything to roll, including our transition D.

 

Guess we wont see Bill Walker as he's been in the inactive list for celtics this season i guess.

Who knows artest is his next target

 

We can win if Tracy drives to the basket instead of settling for those off balance fadeaway jumpers that are as flat as a Shaq free throw. Hopefully Ron can contain Pierce and Yao won't get abused by the Celtics quicker post players. Should be a good game though. Hopefully Rox win 90-84

is this a statement game for the nba that rockets are for real? i think so. i don't the rockets are from their best form, but i think this game is important.

 

And it'll be on NBA TV which is still free for the whole nation, so we'll see how it goes, I'll be there and i'm getting red for sure for this game

 

You must be kidding me. You want to see Pierce exploding for 40? I sure don't. T-Mac is going to guard Ray Allen. I expect Allen to score 25+.

Pierce might even be more athletic than T-Mac at this point. I don't know how someone could come up with that conclusion, he had many dunks in last seasons playoffs and has had some in the beginning of this year.

 

Allen isnt the same. I watched him play in the first three games, he is not hitting his shot like he used in the finals. He is back in the form that he had in the first three rounds of the playoffs last year. SO, I dont except him to score more than 14-15 points.

 

Not really, I mean the Pacers beat the Celtics... I think the statement game will be either the Lakers or the Hornets. Most likely the Lakers, can't wait for it next Sunday!

 

Tracy shot 19-21 on FTs the past few games. Nothing more to ask on aggressiveness, I think.

 

It'll come down to offense in this game. We won't be able to stop Garnett, he'll easily tear us apart. The thing is, we can't let Pierce and Allen get off. But, we need our offense, or else we maybe toast.

If we loose we must be within 5 points. At this point of the season it should still encourage us. Let us hope that we will be celebrating at our win!
