ClutchFans Game Thread: Celtics @ Rockets 10/7/2009 (PRESEASON)

Did anyone notice the offensive boards tonight? We out rebounded the Celtics? For sure i thought we loose this catagory i feel we might lack size, but i feel we will get alot of offensive boards this season.

What's Carl Landry's best position? Small Forward or Power Forward?

So...

We haven't won anything with them. I'd rather stock pile some lottery picks and acquire some star talent that can actually stay on the court. If Yao breaks his foot one more time his career is over, but I'm willing to have him back......as far as Tmac goes. This is likely his last season as a Houston Rocket.

 

he hasn't for me either. but realistically, pre-season is simply pre-season. this is a new role for him and if he struggles now and improves later, that's all good.

 

I don't know how they will work it out, but conroy should be on the squad. Lowry has a injury history and if he goes down,brooks will have 0 backup.

 

It looked like Carl Landry's weak-side, or help defense, is improved. He's reacting to guys beating his teammates inside and trying to come over and erase some of those mistakes.....

I didn't see many instances where he got challenged individually on the block....but he does seem much more active defensively than he's ever been...

Good signs all around....but time will tell the story......

 

i hope he stays and garret temple leaves. conroy was a beast in college. i looked up garret temple's name on youtube and found nothing!

who i think should go: temple, cook, taylor <-- i really don't like him at all not one bit

 

Carl looks like a man on a mission.

 

but temple can play the 1,2,3.

 

It's hard to stockpile multiple lottery picks. The Rockets only get one, when they fall out the playoffs. They always seem to fail, when trying to buy or trade for lottery pick. I don't see them getting 3 lottery picks, let alone 2.

 

Carl looks great.

This team may lack size, but they will get alot of offensive rebounds.

 

I wouldn't be surprised if he gets sent to the D-League. He has a guaranteed contract,which makes it hard for anyone else to take his place. Let's hope that he can get better,although I'm not optimistic at this point.

 

Yeah, Taylor was billed as a great scorer who could fill up the basket, but all he's been is a complete flop the entire summerleague and now preseason. He's not going to make the team and I don't really see any potential for him in this league.

 

Yeah its preseason but he's behind Budinger a guy with zero NBA experience. He's always been a bench player, my concern is that Laker team made him look better than he really is.

 

Ariza is still learning his new role as a featured person in the offense, he needs time. I think his game will get a lot better when T-Mac comes back. He seems to play better as a "sidekick" rather than the main man, at least for now.
