At least he was the No. 1 pick. And ask most GMs, put them together in a draft now, who is the first pick? I guess you would say all of them would choose SF.

Yao Ming getting DUNKED ON is no longer news. Why? Because it's so easy to dunk on Yao that your average 6'9" foward can do it.

Yao Ming, Steve Francis, and Cuttino Mobley will have something to say about the Celtics extending their winning streak. Last season, the Rockets swept the two games. The Celtics have never won a game in Texas under O'Brien. Houston has defeated Boston six in a row at home, five straight overall.---It's nothing but history.

"We just have to try and create some kind of tempo against a team that twice this week has held teams under 70," said O'Brien. "We just have to find a way to move them and get our passing game going so we get some looks. We hope one of the advantages we have is that we're not a gigantic post-up team. So we'll try to make them chase it and get quality jump-shot looks and quality drives." . . .

Yeah,Celtics did as what they said.

14 of 42 FG% 33.3% 1st half, uncountable turnovers , individual show... TOO UGLY TO WATCH!

The Rockets haven't fared well after "big games."
No seats for Beyonce, Jay-Z, or Kim Cattrall, star of Sex and the City ...
Is that a convincing argument ???

Sadly enough I was at the game... it hurt to watch.

This team has to be the most akward team offesively in the entire league. They just have no identity about what they are trying to accomplish.

Sorry for the venting, it's just tough to watch the same mistakes made over and over and over and over and over (you get the point!)

He has not got the chance to prove anything, SF made sure of it. I know you are a SF fan, but what do you see in him? He shows up occasionally in big games, he is athletic but he abuses it, he has no leadership, he is a lousy shooter, he has no court vision, he blows fastbreaks again and again, he shows no potential of further improvement.

A player only goes as far as the environment allows him. Maybe SF will do better if he is moved to 2. Yao will also do better surronded with different kind of players, such as kings.

So why I tend to blame SF instead of Yao? Because he is controlling the ball, and he is taking most of the shots.

What's interesting is that when Yao makes a mistake he gets yanked, yet other teamates make mistakes repeatedly and do not suffer the same fate. The Rockets are so avgerage without Yao on the floor, it's just quite sad to see how things are working out. I don't think I'm gonna watch another game for the rest of the year until something drastic happens with this team :( .

I don't understand why it is a big deal. You street ballers are so obsessed with who got dunked on by whom, who served a facial to who. Isn't there more important things to talk about? Who is making 50% of FG attempts, who is turning the ball over 6 times per night, and which team won?

It was good that yao was benched cause where he is right now, he woudnt be able to contribute. But dont so far to say that lets trade the guy. rockets are a good team, not a contender because right now thier impact players are still under development (yao). jvg system is very center heavy, it will take time for this system to be good but the idea is right, the players arent at the level YET.
But from the looks of things, itl take a while

I'm beginning to think that Yao's BIG LEGS are a negative. They seem to CEMENT HIM to the foor.

I mean, what purpose do his "big legs" serve? Balance? No. What about soild foundation? No. I've seen him fall to the floor too many times to count. What abound strength? No. He's pushed around regardless if he's got "big legs."

They are big, but not explosive. They are big, but not strong. They are big, but slow him down on jumping.

    Sigh...

Let's not even talk about his weak upper body.

I wasn't pointing the finger to you. It was just convenient to quote you. I am just sick that some people use this to bash Yao and try to shift the blame away from SF, after such a disgusting loss.

You're starting to believe your own hype a little too much. Smart fans would understand what's happening a little better than this. Both the 'YOF' and the 'Yao haters' are exactly the same.

The rest of us - actual fans - would understand that the problem is a combination of things...including the guards inability to create offense for their teammates and our big man's inability to establish any kind of presence down low.

No hes trying to shifht the blam that you and other ignorant posters are putting on SF. Mobley made way mroe crucuile mistakes at the end. Infact, francis hit one or two clutch shots to keep us in, and also got those two free throws. He didnt turnover the ball at the end. SO, tell me what he did wrong at the end streatch of the game. Or are you just blaming sf becsue its the badnwagon effect. And its cool to bash steve?

    Yep!

That sounds like a recipe for inconsistency and confusion.

    Hey! That's the Rox!

and their inability to knock down wide open shots when opponents DT Yao. That is a big problem.
