Key to the game: don't let LeBron steal your ball.

I expect the Cavs (esp. Anderson Verejao) to flop, the refs show us no respect once again, and they take Yao out of the game and hand the W to Cleveland.

With that being said, I hope we just blow them out so we don't have to worry about any of that. Guard the 3, don't let LeBron drive make him shoot, and rebound and hopefully we should be good

We need a nickname for the Artest/Battier defensive combo.

Contain Mo Williams and LBJ. If the rockets can do this, it is a W!

This contest will be on national tv and it needs to be a statement game for the Rockets. Hopefully, Landry comes back this game. Does anybody know if he's going to play or not?

We definitely need this win. To advance up the ladder and to prove to everyone, on national TV, that the Rockets are a threat to playoff hopes.

Battier and Artest, who surely remembers the last Cavs game, need to focus and lock down on Lebron. You can't stop James, but you can make him less effective. If we could keep him under 20, we'd be having a good game defensive wise. I think Brooks and Lowry can take care of Williams and Gibson. Big Z is strange, because he can shoot the long range shot, which will make Yao have to leave the paint. Perhaps, as it was suggested, Scola should guard him and have Ming guard that flopper Wallace? Not sure about West.

Everyone really needs to step up. Ball movement is essential, and we can't force things. Take what the defense gives you, as Bullard says. I hope Artest and Battier can continue their hot streak from beyond the arc, and Brooks and Wafer can slice through the defense. Landry and Scola need to continue their inside dominance, getting rebounds and slamming/laying it down/up.

Yao? Well, he needs to play like he would if it was Game 7 of the NBA Finals. He needs to keep his confidence high, keep control of the ball, and slam it down if he's close, or shoot a nice jumper if he's far. He needs to rip down rebounds and get some nice blocks, especially one on LBJ that sends the ball into the stands.

The Referees are the X-factor, however. We staved them Tuesday, but can we do it again Thursday? Let's hope we get some home-cooking of our own.

If everyone steps up, I predict a Rockets win:

    95-100, Houston

Don't get me wrong, that was a good block, but it wasn't really that good when Yao didn't even know he was going to get blocked. Heck, anybody on the Cavs could have blocked him on that play, it's not like Yao is hard to block because of his non-leaping ability. It was kind of overrated, but I guess compared to those other plays, of course it's going to win.

Can someone explain to me why the Cavs are so good. They have one star player and a bunch of role players. I think they can be had, let Adelman come up with a good game plan like having Scola guard Z on the perimeter, Yao has the game of his life and Artest/Battier alternate on LBJ and lock him down. Why can't we win.

Frankly, I don't think the Cavs are that good. Cleveland is certainly a better team than before, but the seemingly amazing record is hugely inflated by official favoritism toward LBJ. I have watched several Cleveland games as an impartial viewer this season, and the refs are outrageously blatant in hugging LBJ's nuts.

Lebron, Kobe, Wade, there all amazing players but there faults are usually masked behind bad calls from refs. I grew up watching MJ and yes he got preferential treatment from the refs (it usually was no calls for his aggresive plays) , not what I see now which is all these guys have to do is put there head down and go to the basket and scream and they get the foul call.

I wonder if those referees gets to sniff Lebron's jock strap? I bet they would be thrilled!

I wonder if those referees as a reward gets to sniff Lebron's after game jock strap? I bet they do and probably thrilled with excitement.

they have tha one player that will ultimately go down as a top 3 player of all time and potentially the greatest of all time. they surround him with ridiculously good shooters. and they have guys who hustle and reboud. it's simple.

so they don't simply just have one "star" player. that guy is in another stratosphere.

I like the part about Scola guarding Z on the perimeter. That way Yao gets to guard Ben Wallace, which means he doesn't have to expend much energy on defense. I think Battier and Artest can contain LBJ. Even if Lebron gets his, shutting down their role players especially Mo Williams should lead to a victory for the Rockets.
