If he did not lose or have altered consciousness, he would NOT have had a concussion. Technically, he should come back for the next game though.

Tmac is obviously fragile, but this injury could have happened to anybody, since Mutombo was the culprit.

Chuck Hayes is definitely the missing link of this team. His intensity has led the others to hustle on the floor.

I was about to say something like that.
Particularly 5 OR apiece from Chuck and Huwan had a lot to do with the constant double-/triple-teaming on Yao.

This may sound silly... but is Yao in a mini slump right now?

    a concusion...

who knows..maybe tmac will forget how bad he was playing this season and return to his old form of scoring champ ;)

but in all seriousness, get well soon tmac

everytime i look at the boxscores of each games, luther head looks better and better each time, he is really becoming a valuable player

    yao..only 8-23 fg..

but dang..28.2 opp fg%..that must be the best ive ever seen us hold our opponents down to :D

Concussion is defined as a brain injury in which you lose or have ALTERED consciousness. Altered in the sense that you would have lost brain function (someone with altered consciousness might not know their name for example)

By definition, LOC (loss of consciousness) occurs in concussions grade 3 and higher. No LOC in grade 1 concussion.

LOL ... 2-5 from 3 is about right.

Like it or not, Rafer's knack for "clutchness" is starting to become his trademark. :p

Come on, that is rich !!

Yao has not been attacking the glass for the last few games......Yes, he was boxing out, but with all those bricks the Cavs threw up there he could only grab 5 rebounds?

Honestly it is not that big of a deal, but it is clear to me that Yao is not attacking the rebounds like he did post all start break last year.

Dikembe had FIVE in only 11 minutes...case closed, Yao was loafing.

Well explain that to TTRocket, he is the one doubting the Rockets report saying that Tmac had a Grade 1 concussion, even though he never lost consciousness.

So many are complaining Yao's bad shooting tonight.
My impression is that Yao was shooting ok.
I think for many of those missed shots, he was fouled before he released the ball the way he wanted, and they were still counted as shot attempts.

I know the Cavs really didnt bring it tonite thats obvious. But our D is AMAZING!

We are holding teams now at least below 88 pts a game. On the whole, that has been our only constant but, our D has really shown a lot. More than the past years.

Maybe that guy Battier has something to do with this. Hmmmmm .... Man, he plays intelligent. I wonder where the naysayers went about Battier this or that? I wonder. All he does is make winning plays. Pretty much whatever we need. Rebounds, defense, taking charges, hitting clutch 3's, keeping plays alive, deflecting passes. Yes, Battier has definitely made a difference for us. :D

Yao took too many jump shots tonight, he was hitting them the first half, but missing most of his jump shots the second half.

hopefully tmac gets amnesia and loses the last year and a half of his memory. So it starts at the end of the dallas playoff series.

    me too.
Also this will help the Rockets, because the more statistical number Yao gets, the more respect he will get from the referees, and this is so important for the Rockets. Personally, I think the referees will give him more 'star-calls", because he was the POM last month. :D

well probably just 4, not "many"
can we say Yao was 8/19 actually? that's not too bad.
