From that position yes it would be a bad pass.

Here's how they could have taken advantage of this situation:

1. Ariza needed to stay where he was and not cut.
2. Pass back to Jet to bring Smith back to the perimeter.
3. Easy pass to Dwight with his mismatch.

 

Yup. One thing I hate is Dwight seems not to understand thats a bad angle and he does it a lot and gets frustrated so easily. There are reasons to be frustrated with Harden but that wasn't one of them.

Harden could've passed at the very beginning instead of passing it to Terry..Smith wasn't close. It even looks like Terry points to Howard right before getting the ball.

 

Nice mindset. Harden cuts off his own head plenty times then the team follows.

 

Leadership helps team play in tough times but when you have one dimensional players and an inept coaching staff leadership isn't going to do much. Was Harden a better leader last year or did he just play better? He did everything so much so that everyone was shocked when we won the game he was sick and had to sit the 4th. You need players who can get their own shots or a system that is based on team play. When people say Lebron gets everyone involved all they really mean is he gave Kyrie Irving or Kevin Love the Ball. Lebron didnt win until he had two all stars who could score. Harden has had not one. Closest thing was Parsons who we gave away for nothing.

 

technically....considering the NBA...where more teams make the playoffs than ones that don't....getting into the playoffs is a JOKE in the nba.

If you don't capture one of the 8 seeds....yikes.

 

I would like to see some leg cramping, rockets begging to come out, and the mop boys getting a workout. Even though Ewing would carpet our floor with sweat, I knew that guy was working.

Haha, you're absolutely right though... making the playoffs doesn't mean **** in the NBA. Unfortunately this team at the moment looks barely like a team that can make the playoffs... Luckily the west is playing ****... If this continues our post season will be done in 4/5 games unless a miracle happens.

 

Making the playoffs is the stepping stone to going farther the next year. It's a stepping stone. Making the playoffs is an accomplishment ask the Sixers. Unfortunately we are at a point where simply making the playoffs is not good enough for us.

 

First Harden needs to learn how to play off the ball. He's just going to mope outside the 3pt line. This is where I feel we get really exposed. Once Harden doesn't have the ball he looks so lost like an infant without their pacifier. We will not win anything if Harden continues to play like this. I was hoping Terry would start doing the same thing as Avery did when he signed with the Mavs. Learn the coaching aspect of the game.

 

Exactly, dead on. It's like the team made the WCFs and started over... For a rebuilding team/new up and coming team, making the playoffs is great, for the Rockets though... They're way passed that.
