Did he even watch the game? "We didn't lay down. We brought it."

    Give me a break.

No movement on offense but continue to sit Lawson? JB, despite recent success, has been pretty awful as a manager.

Harden worst game for awhile but i also think his turnovers would be lower if he team mates actually moved without the ball to create more open options. I don't like our offensive set up at all and need more motion offence.

    Agreed.

As many of us have noticed, this team (and Harden) have a history of not showing up for big games- either against top teams in the regular season or against their playoff opponents. Harden didn't show up against Portland 2 years ago, disappeared when we were about to be eliminated by the Clippers, and fell apart completely in the elimination game against the Warriors.

James' style of play (where he dominates the ball to such a degree) doesn't give him the luxury to have low-effort games. If the ball handling and playmaking were distributed among some of his other teammates, it could be overcome more easily. But it's not, and as Harden goes, so go the Rockets.

I mean does JB trust anybody on this team besides Harden???

Dude is always putting him back in with like 20 seconds left at the end of Qtrs to run a play?

The opposing team now know whats about to happen now, so the play is usually crap and now Harden is even turning it over cause its so easy to prepare for.

Yeah, you've played 41 of them now, James. You're halfway through the season. There's no more time to turn things around. You've already likely squandered any shot at home court in Round 1 and you're making it even tougher to avoid Golden State or San Antonio(both of whom have yet to lose at home this season) in the playoffs.

I'm really close to being completely ok with dealing his sorry ass this offseason. He has no fire in him whatsoever. He's a paycheck player at this point and he doesn't even work hard for the money.

When we figure out what motivates Harden watch the f**k out.

We have already ruled out a couple things that DON'T motivate Harden:

    Insulting his mother.
Winning an award that he thought was his.
Being called the second best 2 guard.

Things that MIGHT motivate Harden but not sure.

    Booty.
    Sex.
    Doritos?

No i just don't go crazy after 1 loss, i look at the end game more and just hope we qualify for the Playoffs firstly, then hope for a high seed.

I know we have the talent to do damage, if we are fit and firing at the right time we can do a lot of damage

I don't understand how an NBA team can continue to have this games shooting 30% from the field. This is routine it seems with Houston this year? Like is there no shooting coach? Do they not practice? Harden, Thornton , Ariza, Terry they can all shoot it's so weird.

    Typical James Harden.

Actually he is still that turnover machine.

Actually he still chokes every 2 games.

Actually he is still that lazy ass....

Nothing has changed. It's not just one game.

    Great post all around.

All I will add is this: 3 of those HUGE issues with this team are all things that Ty Lawson has always been incredible at throughout his career. Lawson has never been an amazing scorer, although he's certainly been above average. But he is incredibly smart with the basketball, rarely turns it over, and knows how to find guys in the right position to score. But for some reason, we continue to have James Harden play the role of PG on this team. It's completely asinine!

"we'll be alright... we gonna go hit some clubs, smack some fat asses, get our drank on... it'll be all good! ...Oh, the team? Yeh, we're screwed... ohwell... those that matter..and all that...lol"

    LOL

Harden said multiple times "no rhythm"

    ___________________

I didn't play well. I didn't make shots. They were aggressive. Great gameplan by them. We couldn't get rhythm offensively.

    Open looks?

It'll happen. Bad timing. Can't let this game affect us.

They had a good defensive plan. We regroup and be ready to go.

Get to the basket. We settled for 3s.

It's one game. Another game on Sunday.

We couldn't get offensive rhythm. That was key.

    Midway point reflection?

We're getting better. We're hitting strides. Last 10 or so playing well. We're midway through. Tonight tough but gotta continue to improve and we'll be alright.

    We couldn't get rhythm offensively.

I didn't have rhythm the entire game.

    Terrence:

They put 2 on the ball on James always. We got good looks we normally knock down. Gotta find other ways to score when our shots aren't falling. We're still improving.

They came in with a gameplan that worked. We have to move on. Can't let this bring us down.
