It's great to see other coaches pressing the Rockets to give Yao more touches.

They have the dunk on Yao as # 7 on Sportscenter's Top 10 !
    This is getting ridiculous!

Deke's da man. Imagine if he and Yao could play along side each other. Just leave Deke on defense, and Yao and T-Mac can do all the scoring. I know this will never happen, and the idea has been shot down a million times on this board. Just tought I'd sneak it in while the morale is high!:D

The reason why JVG will not do that is because when Yao gets tired they have no one to replace him since Deke is already in the game.

Excellent game, both offensively and denfensively. The team has gelled pretty well.

With the way Yao is playing , even the Yao-hating ESPN talkheads Athony S. and T. Ledge(sp?) had to give some pop to Yao last night

Maybe JVG will give two more shot attemps per game for Yao from now on?

    J. Howard: 25min, 5-13 shooting
    Y. Ming: 30 min, 9-10 shooting

Could happen if we could somehow get Cliffie Robinson. I hate to mess with chemistry but if we don't have to give up much for him, another big man can't hurt.

When counting shot attempts, people really have to add something like FT attempts/2.x to the shot attempts number. Last night Yao really had 12 shots, but two of them were fouled thus didn't count toward FGA.

While 13 rbs in 17 minutes in pretty amazing stat, he seems to be pretty consistant off the bench putting up some fine numbers. I agree that we are going to sorely miss Deke next year if we can't get him to sign a 1 year contract. He blocks shots. He rbs. He stays within his game and has far more gas left in his tank than I thought. While Sura is playing better than I thought he would when we signed him, Deke is the person that has impressed me the most.

I was completely wrong about Deke. Deke - you are still the man.

We should try that in the playoffs when the games are slowed down to a half court set game.

We should give Deke more play time because he is so good. Only way to do that is to play Yao and him together on the court.

I think Van Gundy is saving the Yao Deke combo for the playoffs. If we can get by the first 2 rounds and into the finals against San Antonio, then pulling Deke and Yao out of the bag agaisnt Duncan-Stiff may be a huge momentum turner in our favor.

I just hope we keep playing uptempo and unselfish. Deke was totally dominating the defensive paint last night.
