Curry has played well. It's really foul problem plaguing him. I think both Curry and Yao brought their good games tonight.
Now you guys see why I love Kirk Hinrich to be a Rockets. Have watched this guy play for 5 years. Outstanding outside shot, tough D, and knows how to PASS. Might be better than Steve Nash when it's all said and done. A keeper.
I think Hinrich is a protypical Western Conference point guard which is one with strong fundamentals and a good jumpshot. That's why I think the Rockets need to look for a senior point guard coming out of a decent college program. There's no way the Bulls would part with Hinrich.
After watching last night's UNC-Duke game, I wouldnt mind having him on the Rockets. Btw, is that the Jazzercise for the halftime entertainment? If it is, i feel sorry for the guys at the game. I sadly witness them last year vs. the Pistons.
Senior guard playing for Duke playing along side JJ Reddick and Daniel Ewing. Very sold point guard that will probably slip to where the Rockets will pick this year.
I don't know enough about his outside shot, but he has excellent tutelage under the Duke coach of which I can't spell the name. He's going to be entering the draft, and it seems a lot of draft boards have him down low because of his lack of athleticism. As long as he can hit a jumpshot and can dish the ball to the right guys, I think he would be a decent point guard in the Western Conference.
Other potential guards to look for are Euro guards who always have great shooting and handle, but questionable defense. But as long as they can run the offense efficiently, they can learn the defense in time.
I'm not enthusiastic about the Rockets' ability to scout euro talent. Boki's jumpshot sucks. I think every player needs to be able to shoot a jumpshot in the West.
