Lay off the crackpipe, rookie. He shot very well tonight and had a terrific all-around performance.

Pick another night to pick on him...and it's past your bed time.

I guess I will ask it this way. Those of you who don't hate JVG, Do you think he is leaving them in for so long because he has to? or because he is trying to get them to learn now while the season is still young?

It sort of reminds me of the Wargames thing where the computer had to play tic-tac-toe over and over again to get the message.

Do you think JVG is purposefully allowing things to progress as they have been in order to get his message (or messages) across to his team?

Exactly, think about it, Yao totally outscored and outrebounded Ben and we still think it is a bad game for him. I really don't know how good he can be. Scary. :D

Yao had another tough matchup tonight and I won't blame him alot since they always have 3 to 4 guys surrounding him. But we need our perimeter players to make decent shots. JVG really needs to give Novak 8-10 minutes of play time. We don't want see again the game vs spurs.

Not nearly as bad as Ben... and I just can't get too upset with 20/12 and a win.

I hated this win. We blew another big lead. Padgett needs to play less, his dumb fouls and unawareness almost brought the Bulls back. We deserve to lose for blowing another big lead. This can't be us, we're supposed to be known as a 4th quarter team that plays good D and executes down the stretch. If you ask me, I feel like we stole one.

What I mean is his mid and long range shootings; he is 2/7 behind the arc.
He is doing ok while attacking the rim. I guess you didn't even watch the game. :p

Welcome to the board. Need a few more of you around.

Either avoid the obvious dolt threads ... like 'JVG Sucks'... or aggressively use those threads to build your ignore list. Mine may becoming one of the longest. :)

Unless I'm much mistaken, I'd swear I've seen you someplace before. Longhorns2006 is lurking here too.

From AP recap notes for tonight's game: "The Rockets improved to 33-3 under coach Jeff Van Gundy when they reach 100 points."

Wow, is anyone on this board aware of this number?

If there is any doubt, this should make it crystal clear -- our problem (under JVG) is unequivocally on offense.

Perhaps you can't read. I said that JVG is using a standard 9 man rotation. Guys like Riley, Brown and Jackson have done the same and won championships. So JVG is doing what has a history of working in the NBA, and rather address that very basic notion, you instead cite an absurd comparison with a fictional Hollywood movie.

Hi Brantonli. I speak with Horn regularly on Messenger. He got to see the Rox v. Spurs for the first time since he has been in Australia. I guess he jinxed them. lol I just don't understand these people on Rockets boards. Are they never satisfied?

I didn't watch the game since it would be like 3-4 am in the morning for me. Can anybody tell me what contributed to the Bull's similar run to the Spurs? Thanks in advance.

The only shot that missed everything was a rushed 30 footer to beat the shot clock. Take that shot away & he shoots 2-6 from 3pt land(33%-a little below average), 6-10 inside the arc(60%-outstanding) & 8-16 overall(great). Plus he made his ft's down the streatch as did the rest of the team.

His shooting helped get us that lead. The team's cold spells are what almost lost it for us.

Yes we almost blew a game against the Bulls(an Eastern contender), but won by 1 point at home. Would you rather have that or an overtime home loss to the Bobcats(anEastern alsoran) like the Spurs!?!

If we win a game, we are contenders. If we lose a game, JVG sucks, T-Mac sucks, Yao sucks, Padgett sucks, Alston sucks, Hayes is an all-star etc. I estimate around 246 game threads for this season. 1 for the official game board, 1 for the video board, 1 for rantings. I was wrong. The last part should be 3 threads ranting how good/horrible we are.
