    Stupid Rox!

Stupid 6-3 record to start the season, beating who??? Dallas? Miami? Chicago?

We're never going to be serious contenders if we keep this up! I'm so sick of Yao having TOs when we win! Fire Jeff Van Frumpy!

Yao's been lost for the last two games, it seems that he can not have a good game along with TMac, maybe he is thinking "am I the 1st choice or Tmac, when Tmac is getting back t his form" Thinks too much man, be aggressive, play like the team has no Tmac! Please!!!!

Agree with you on everything except Spanoulis. He commits too many turnovers and thats the main reason he's not getting playing time. I could live with his mediocre shooting as long as he can get a good assist to turnover ratio. Hopefully he improves in both areas because the other parts of his game are good.

If you are going to blame JVG for the collapse, you have to give him credit for getting the 21 point lead in the first place. He can't be that bad a coach if the Rox are getting a 20 point lead in alot of their games even if they are dissipating. Maybe it is his substitution patterns, but I get the feeling it stems for a lack of depth and or killer instinct.

I disagree. I don't think he's overated and when he's hyped hes never hyped about how many points he's getting or anything of that nature. Everyone knows what he's going to give you.

what, ur dissing Shane now ??/ is that what y'all got after watching the game ??

Battier took 5 charges, u know what 5 charges equal?? 10 points added to teh bulls and lets say, 6 subtracted from us.. that's not mentioning the mental game and momentum shift...

Battier was great tonight.. did y'all see the offensive rebound off of Tmac's miss I think ?? hasn't he got that rebound, we would've lost...

now leave Battier alone, it might be a little dumb from him that he defended Nocioni, but hey, u never know, it's probably JVG who told him to do so..

Ben was the best defender last year. YAO knows that he is upper limbs weak, that is why he always goes stright to the weight room from court, also probably he has a good soft touch of ball, because the upper softness. Plus, under double deamed, tripple teamed, and also 30+ mins rassling with the big muscles inside, that is kinda understandable.

Battier's main role is not attacking, but the contrary.

I need to look at the roster during the collapse to verify. Some of the collapse seemed like Luther really messed up the spacing with the way he was moving the ball resulting both difficulty in getting the ball to Yao as well as messing up any angle he had in driving at the basket.

yeah a couple of charges taken and some 3 pointers out of the corner.

    Thats overrated at its best.

    Hardly worth a #8 pick.

    Bleh!

what a scarry game. seems like a pattern how we lose leads now ... if anything good came outta the 4th quarter, it's that the rockets made most of their free throws. the way the announcer from tnt exclaimed nocioni's made 3pter, and me lookin at the score of us up by 4, i was convinced we'd lose the game in overtime or w/e. there were a lot of posessions in the game where i think one specific made shot by the bulls woulda led to them gettin in their run earlier, and costing us the game, but luckily they'd rim those out. tmac played well. very well-rounded game. i uno if i like him havin to com off screens just to receive the ball and then run the pick and roll with the shot clock already down. he should definetly play point forward n those clutch situations. i'm proud of rafer tonight; offensively, anyway. he made his 3's and fts. Rockets just got their 21 pt lead, let it slip all the way to 1. JVG cursin how snyder. But we won. Now our record looks a nice 6-3.

I agree with what the tnt ppl said at halftime. it does alarm me that tmac is playin passive and especially sayin how he's gonna retire after his contract ends ... to play baseball ... sounds like michael jordan all over again, tho im sure tmac is a better pitcher than mj was a shortstop(is that what he played?) Tmac just needs to be #1 on the team. We think Yao should be #1 but whoever said that this is a perimeter-based league now is right. I uno. Time is wearin thin on us now.

i guess none of it matters since we lost to the spurs.

before the season started people here said that if we were .500 after our first 10 games we should consider ourselves lucky. well guess what? win or lose on saturday, we will have a winning record to start the season.

I agree that it's mainly a conditioning thing.

But honestly, he was DEAD tired mid way through the 4th...and he was getting chased by two guys most night.

I will give McGrady a break for this one, it was a very good all-around game and he is literally the engine behind this team. Without his shot-creating ability, no perimeter player would ever make a shot on this team; they all feed off him.

Moreover, this trend held true in the past as well: when T-Mac was very active in the first half, he got tired and fatigued by the second and thus his offensive production -- not necessarily his overall game -- suffered; and vice versa...

At least that's my observation, I think he is most effective up 'til his minutes get into the low-30s or so.

That's why Yao struggling like the past two games hurts us a lot. Normally, you have one guy carrying the offensive load in one half while the other takes care of the rest of the game.

Still, you gotta admit that it ain't half bad to have a 6-3 record with all our struggles. :)

JVG might just have detached Snyder with that public tirade.

Yelling at a player like that in public is never a good idea.

He is trying to be like Popovich. But Popovich has earned multiple rings so he can get away with it.

JVg might be walking a thin line if he intends to keep doing this.

It started when Van Gundy took the starters out of the game and rested Yao and McGrady. Gordon got hot on one end. On the other end, the Rockets lost offensive rhythm and missed the open shots they did get.

Ironically, tonight, the collapse was not due to tiring starters, but horrible bench.. which leads me to question whether playing the bench more wouldn't have resulted int he Collapse vs. SAS, too.

Bottomline, the Rockets need a better bench.

Yao is Intimitated by tracy. when he sees tracy is playing well, he thinks he must play second fiddel and starts thinking wayyyy too much about his shooting. i might be paranoid, but thats how i see it.

yeah i agree. with tmac retiring in 4 years (that includes this season) we coul've used rudy gay waiting in the wings to take over for him.

why is JVG yelling at our team to hurry up the offense when were leading by 21....i thought the rox were about half court offense?

seems to me like JVG has an issues with time management(both the game and the players) and on top of that it drains out our players pretty quickly which is why i believe we are jumping out to large leads and giving them up.

sloppy game for the rox but score one for the good guys :)
