Am I the only one who notices that it's the same exact substitution pattern at the same point of the game (towards the end of the 3rd) that ALWAYS manages to blow a big lead and switch the momentum entirely away from the Rockets and to the opponent?

I can't be the only one seeing that!

Oh well, at least I have Tango -- a respected poster -- who agrees with me. ;)

As for Battier, I am telling you guys, for such a mediocre player who barely -- if ever -- makes himself noticed or his presence felt, he's about the most overrated player the Rox have acquired in quiet some time.

I am not saying he's bad, just overrated...

Heartbreaking if you have a huge lead and lose. They did'nt have a huge lead so it was more like almost being given a gift by the Rockets but it was false hope on their part.

You need to chill dude. This is indeed an ugly game, we all can see that. Yao is not the Yao we expect him to be, Head is playing out of his head, the worst of all is JVG.

His a smart guy, but not a tough one. Will disappear in the clutch. I miss Hayes.

A win's a Win; i don't care it's ugly or not. I rather take all the ugly wins rather than nice with loses. You guys expect too much, go play your video game.
    Congra ROCK! 7-3 coming up.

That's the funny thing. He's so talented, he gets those numbers with his eyes close. Tracy did not play well and didn't compete as hard in the second half. I just hope his lack of energy and teh end of games is due to him being a little out of shape not playing for a half a year. If what Doug Collisn said is true. that Tamc will get better as the season goes along, we will be OK. But teh surrent level of play from Tmac ins the second half of the last 2 games will not be good enough to win agaisnt the best teams.

There's a rebound in the 4th quarter that fell right into Yao's hands but he fumbled it with NO bulls players around him! It looks like his mind was just not there. Totally unacceptable!

JHo has a far better stat line. But, it is those intangibles. :(

I would rather be from THAT perspective. At least their players fight till the end and make clutch baskets. I don't care if Rox has a 10-0 record. If they continue to play like this, they will NEVER win a playoff series.

    LongtimeFan,

Yet another person in a long line who notices this...

    Sorrr but..

What happens on the court has more value than what JVG claims.

no no no, Coaches don't blow leads IF they are coaches, now if they are waterboys dressed up like coaches or what is known as "JVG", that's a different story..

tell me, how can Tmac and Yao play well if they are seeing that JHO and Padgett are getting extended minutes and Novak and VSpan are watching from the bench ???

now please, JVG blew it in San Antonio, and he almost did it again... same exact story, dejavu!!! Tmac got hot half way in 3rd quarter, guess what JVG did?? pull him out, we have a 21 point lead.. he didn't learn from last game, he wants to test it again.. well, it's not a scientific experiment MR. JVG, it's basketball.. Coaches are supposed to do adjustments... adjustments, that's what a good coach does.. kinda like what Popovich did last game..

u might be right, it's players' fault too, but u cant ignore the fact that 99% of the blame is on the coach, or should I say, what we are calling a coach..
