I don't understand why sudderly Yao is afraid of taking midrange jumper. Why, especially when you are open?
that radio link works but its horrible.. I have to keep switching from DSL to Modem or else the commercials come on. *sigh Oh well J
Could someone that was at the game let all of us know if Steve got booed when they announced the players? They cut to commerical during the introduction. Thanks.
I saw him hitting a couple of outside shots during our 4 game losing streak. And I will be surprised to know that Yao lost his shooting touch after the game against Orlando.
at least one half of what "supose" rockets game, are played well we need a little D now hope to still like that
The boxscore probably isnt the best reflection of the game, but they are on 38% FG. thats not too bad
Great... now Niess is taking out Yao AND Steve. Calling Yao out on stupid fouls, and tripping up Steve on a fast break. Jack is too old to still ref. He needs to go the way of Mike Mathis and Jake O'Donnell.
Only one of the four has been called with him actually "defending" the shot. I'd say that's bad ref. (by the name of Jack Niess)
I've been watching the game on LP, and the Bucks announcers have mentioned several times how the Rocks increased their lead with Yao on the bench. Another comment was about that making JVG's job tough with Francis when that happens, since Van Gundy is trying to run the offense around Yao, but Francis is playing better with him on the bench. Really doesn't mean anything, just thought I'd mention it for those not watching the same broadcast. (and I wish Bill and Calvin were there instead!) That's what happens when you get these guys with another team... they are going more by the little they've seen during the game or the other broadcasts they did earlier in the season and not on watching a bunch of games like many of us have. If Yao was having a monster game the spin would be far different.
I agree with your second point, but not the first. It is quite arguable that, while the West is clearly superior in terms of top big men, in terms of top smallz, the East has the lion's share. I think Ford's jumper ( or lack thereof) will hurt him wherever he plays, but would be exaggerated on a team like the Rockets.
