yeah I agree...I'm sure the teams evaluated him and have an appreciation for his upside. But by not having a track record in the NBA, by definition taking him on is a risk or at least a 'buy low' move from the opposing team standpoint...the Rockets understood he was immensely more valuable to them and guarded his value to the league well. It would've been totally justifiable to the Kings to demand Jones & DMO for Robinson on pure draft status/rank basis. But I could see how taking 2 unproven players for 1 unproven player (but high draft pick) on the surface looks riskier for the Kings--hence getting PPAT in the trade (who's abilities are fairly well established). In a perverse way, I think this saved the Rockets from having to send over DMO in the deal--which I agree, a good team would've most likely required. And DMO's upside is way higher than PPAts imo
We are on ClutchFans. Lin fans would trip if Lin had poor English and we laughed about it. Yao didn't speak English well, but it wasn't funny so no one laughed about it. Have you seen what happens when people criticize Lin's game around here?

he'll probably back up Harden and take anderson's minutes/delfino's at the 2. Lineup probably more established now: Lin/Beverly Harden/Garcia Asik/Smith/Ohlbrecht (more minutes for the German O?) Parsons/Delfino DMO/Robinson Delfino will get his 25 min a game also playing the 2-4 spots. Deep Bench: Anderson, Jones Dleague: white, honeycutt
McHale is that kind of dude... You gotta kind of kiss his butt theoridically through doing everything he tells you to do on the court talent doesn't matter as much unless Les/Morey get involved.
From what I read, other than that, PPat is also a good friend and former Kentucky Wildcats teammate of DeMarcus Cousins. The Kings sort of have the intention of wanting PPatt (who has the leadership quality in Morey's words) to help their wild and troublesome Cousins. Win-win for both teams.
i'm happy for PPat to be Cousin's shrink. I liked patterson but am more excited about what DMO and Robinson bring to the team. I know its premature but even just comparing DMO to PPAT and Robinson to Morris...this also feels like 'no contest' I say that mainly because we've gotten a feel for PAT and MOrris' game and the limitations are pretty clear. With Robinson its sky's the limit, especially since he brings elite rebounding abilities (which neither PAT nor Morris possess) and DMO, who is already a better offensive player than all of those guys (IMO--but his moves speak for themselves). Win-Win if it helps the kings sleep better at night
exactly. we're both! I love how 'diversity' now means having a non-black guy in the lineup. How times have changed.
If we don't resign Delfino, we'll have an age discrimination lawsuit on our hands though. I hear Michael Jordan is making a comeback . . . Has Mutombo ever healed up? I liked those years when we signed Mutombo for the last 25 games or so every year. I'm sure Major Jones is too old. . .
cant believe dmo is starter already just 2 weeks ago the best we could hope for him is to get 2-3 garbage minutes
