the time for rest is over. the season is on the verge of being over, and it's time for him to play as many minutes as he possibly can. plus, it's uncertain as to whether mcgrady's injuries will ever fully heal, so it's best to pair the two as much as possible, before time runs out. you can't predict anymore that they will play for five more years together.
Eh makes sense to me, the guy almost passed out in the 4th though, at least 1 frigging minute hahaha.
No-one complaining about that stiff Yao anymore? He only did 21-13-3-AND PROBABLY 3 BL tonight! Shoulda done 30-18-5-and 8!!! You would think he had been off over a month! (satire, sarcasm). Magloire who averages 3.5 PF's a game had a total of zero f#2ck1ng zero tonight. IGNORE THOSE HIT ACROSS YAO'S ARMS AND HANDS - THEY WERE NOT REAL! Push Yao! Push McGrady! Push hard. No foul. Our guards barely touch Ford blowing by and it is an automatic call. I hope I never ride on an airplane next to an NBA ref, I will probably end up in shackles with Homeland Security at the next airport. They were really the only thing that kept the Bucks in tonights game. But we got a win!!! Yes! And our bench played well. I still think Tmac is hurting from the forearm to the nose - may be another week before he gets healed. Now, who comes back first - Barry, DA or Sura?? Come on Jon and Derek, Bobby is going to shame you two guys! (frustrated - we really need Barry's 3's).
I truly believe with Shaq's Decline, yao is the Best center in the league. his impact is on the game is far greater then anyother center in the league.
The no-calls on Yao's jumpers were ridiculous tonight. He got hacked at least 4 times with no call. Hey, if they don't want big men taking jumpers, then they better stop calling fouls every time Dirk falls down after taking a shot. Tmac, step back fader, hit on the arm, quick call. Yao turnaround, smacked on the forearm before the release, right in front of the ref, and it's nothing. I know Yao complained, but SOMEBODY has to at least get a T in that situation. If I were JVG I would have walked right onto the court. Don't even get me started on the bogus calls they've been making on Hayes.
Just saw on NBATV a clip of Yao Ming's interview without any interpreter. Man, I can tell you Yao's [spoken] English has improved a lot! He's gonna be a bilingual, smooth talking mofo in no time!
This might be a possibility, but please explain what was going on in the fourth quarter ? I see Yao Ming a 90" giant doing the dosey do, weaving in and out & giving guards a slight bump, so slight that each was ineffective and every time there was a chance that he might get the ball he swiftly moved away from the action. The question that I pose - is this what the Coach wants or is Yao Ming without any instruction regarding what he should be doing. What ever the answer is I see poor coaching and poor team work.
a couple things: yao is easily the most unfairly refereed player in the nba. players get away with anything they want to do to him and this will probably never change. great game nonetheless, you could barely tell he was out for so long. chuck hayes is the f@#king man. jvg probably creamed his pants when chuck blocked the shot then full-steamed it back for the layup. guy is pure energy and intelligence and it rubs off on everyone. he's quickly becoming one of my favorite players for some of the same reasons that bob sura is up there.
I think it's an example of poor coaching. JVG has guys running complicated set plays every time. Yao could be in a decent position to score, but if the play doesn't call for it, he's busy setting picks to help get Tmac open. Even our out-of-bounds plays are painfully complicated so that if a guy doesn't set a pick right then we are in danger of 5 second violations. Really, all they have to do is throw it to Yao. not involving Yao more down the stretch is incredibly frustrating to watch.
If that's the case, then his time as a Rockets player is limited. Hope I am not exaggerating the situation and I would like to keep Swift, at least till the end of this season.
I am glad they won, but, seriously, can you really see this team as presently constructed going anywhere? Another very weak performance at home against a poor opponent. Ming looked good, but, overall, the Rockets are no where near the team they were last year, injured players back or not.
