    Wesley's defense is superb. JJ would have gotten killed by Redd. Wesley just needs to knock down some shots.

    Wesley's D is solid, but his shooting sucks.

    Talking about pieces coming together, how many years can this group play together? If someone argue that we didn't make this trade for the future, we made this trade trying to win right now, is this group good enough for championship?

    The answer are this group can't play together very long, and this group aren't good enough to win the championship or even go deep in the playoff. Within two years you have to find pieces again. That is why I still think this trade makes no sense.

    You have good shooting nights and bad shooting nights.

    Your D is always there.

    It's not too early to say Wesley plays good D, it is way too early to claim his shooting sucks.

    They made the trade because they had big problems with their guards. Its only been 2 games but the guard play has been solid and these guys are still learning each other. The trade looks good to me so far. Wesley gives us an on the ball defender that we were lacking.

    The trade was made to improve us this year and to help next year as well. Then in 2 years Wesley and others come of the books freeing up cap room to sign FAs, where we will get the long term peices. I didn't like it at first either, but we aren't going to get Tyson Chandler or Nene for JJ/Boki............that was a pipe dream. We got something that will help us win in the short term and who will also have a good chunk of change coming off the books in 2006.

    LOL! So JJ was the long term solution? He already lost a step on D this year. Unless Boki becomes a poor man's Lebron, these two trades make sense.

    It's wonderful to see us win. The players didn't get down without Yao which was the most important thing.

    I got to see the second half. The Rocket's ball movement is soooo improved over last year, like night and day. The perimeter defense was solid and the shooting was better than normal. TMac is unreal, but Howard and Taylor had another nice game. Wesley's shooting will come around, he has had a very good outside shot for most of his career. He is a pesky little defender, isn't he? The team really didn't appear to miss Ming. Remember this is the team that humiliated them just a few days ago. High marks for Mutombo as well, and how about Padgett? If the season ends today, we are in the playoffs!

    congratulation for the win!

    And glad to see Wesley's performance is so good. I prefer this guy than JJ cuz the most important virtue hes better than JJ is that he knows his role. he is a smart guy.

    We have enough (super??) star. The most needs are good role player to match up. And Wesley is that kind of ppl.

    I think Barry and Wesley bring a lot more hustle, tipped balls,and forced turnovers. I know their shot will come around. Watching the game at Toyota center, it was exciting. From here, it can only get better.

    I agree! It also seems as if our defense has become even more stingier at times with Wesley out there.

    What will it take to make some of you happy? :rolleyes: . we finally got a good Premiter Defender now. we are now starting to Semi click and some are still whining?.. happy new year guys. be happy, because i think the Rox are just starting to click....

    Wesley is like a lucky charm, with him we won 2 straight until we lose this is a good trade. For now!!!!

    Outstanding performance by T-mac, to get us a .500 record.

    Okay, I was wrong. But I told you guys that Wesley is a good PG and good defender, definitely an upgrade over JJ. Now, we have some good ball handling from our back court, much better premeter defense.

    I still miss Boki, though.:(

    you know, I said the same thing during the game - Wesley is shorter, but much quicker than JJ (and he and Tmac seemed to be gel-ing) maybe that was the problem
