What a good ballhandler VSpan is. He might challenge Tmac for best handle on the team

You cant get too high when a rookie does well and you cant get too down when they do well. VSpan started pretty bad and has done well recently. He had 4 TO's so he still needs to watch the turnovers. Point is...we are a young team and the rookies are learning.

NBA.com says the attendance is 53,504. Must be packing them in like sardines at the TC. :D

VSPAN! NOVAK! JlII? i think he's going to be left out of the picture eventually as the season progresses with vspan being the starter and rafer being backup. and NOVAK is going to score at least 10 pts/game because he has simply got the sweetest shot around. and did anyone hear clyde drexler say "more great defense by lil' john" ahahah i was crackin up.

I think JL3 is a kind of Calvin Murphy type of player, more of an undersized two guard.

He is a good shooter and is good at getting his own, but he is not all that great of a passer.

    V-span on the other hand....wow......

This is what I have seen so far in this game:

Yao is a little rusty and missing shots he is normally going to make. Good thing is the Rox really seem to be dedicated to working their offense through him (much easier when Tmac, Battier, and Wells dont play), but still a good sign that he is able to get position easy and get his shot off. Also, he did make a couple turn overs, but seems like he had a better handle on the ball and even when he fumbled it a little he was able to stick with it and regain control, ending in dunks a couple times.

Novak is a great shooter and should get minutes this year. He is the kind of player that gets a buzz in the arena not just by making shots, but simply by putting one up.(like redick at duke).

Padgett is going to be tough to cut. He can definitely hit the three and did real well on the boards tonight.

Jacobson is gonna have a hard time making this team. I dont see what he gives us that we cant get from Novak and or Padgett. Obviously he is a shooter, but Snyder looked good shooting tonight and Rafer really does seem to have an improved jump shot, so I dont think putting shooters on the floor will be that tough.

Vspan is starting to look more comfortable. He doesnt seem in crazy attack mode anymore. Still seems to jump too much when he goes to pass and got a couple charges and turnovers on him, but made some great plays as well.

The rox need to get rid of Drexler. He called Juwan a gazelle. That alone should get him canned.

Vspan had 2 charges and one pass to J-ho that should have been a layup.

The 4 TOs you can live with when he racks up 10+ assists and plays great D.

Not impressed with JHo. I'd give Novak all of JHo's minutes. Not impressed with JLIII, looks more like he did in last year's regular season, nothing like he did in Summer League. Kirk Snyder is even better than I expected.

Synder, vspan, and Novak, wow! Just can't say enough about synder and vspan. Vspan's motor just doesn't stop, great court vision, and finally i saw his quick first step. Synder is very solid, he'll be a good addition. What else can you say about Novak, he's lights out.

I missed watching the game and just found out 3 of our 4 best players didn't play so it was basically a team of Yao and our bench players ... but we still won by like 15 pts?

is it just me, or did V-Span play like Steve Nash-lite today? he's definitely improving from game to game...hopefully he'll reach his potential and at least start splitting time w/ alston by mid-season...his shooting will probably adjust in time...glad to see another savvy ball-handler and distributor on this team.

JL3 needs to be involved offensively to be effective, in an Earl Bokyins-lite way. Not sure he will be permitted to do that on this team.

Even if he is a bad signing, which he might not be, that's still pretty impressive, considering so many of the new players are great signings.
