no but really i said all i can say about this kid novak, and v span is puttin on a passing clinic................i know everyone says its against scrubs, but dam it sure feels good............they are growin up right before our eyes........AND WE HAVEN'T EVEN SEEN BONZI YET..........THIS TEAM IS GONNA BE LETHAL THIS YEAR.....BOOK IT

i have done this many a season.......get all excited only to let the rockets come crashin down to earth, leaving me to have a mental emotional breakdown.........but the b-ball IQ is off the charts with this team and that makes all the difference in the world........i think its safe to say that no FRANCHISES, CATS, OR MOOCHIE are gonna come dribble the life out of our dreams(such a low blow, but i just couldn't help that one )

 

The best we can hope for from the pre-season games is that Reefer and JHo finally convince JVG that they are bench fodder and that VSpan, Novak, Hayes, and Lucas deserve the minutes.

Outside Houston, he doesnt really address other team's needs, plus he is white.

let's not carried away. Shots come and go, there will be off nights for him, just learn to love him when his shots are off.

 

Well it's an indication good fundamentals are not in tall order for NBA these days.

 

It would be better if put Snyder in starter and let Wells be our powerful 6th.

Listening to Rockets broadcast, and watching on SopCast....sop is about 3-5 minutes behind.

WOW!! Novak got 13 points (4-4 on 3s!!)
And Yao got 18 points/7 rebs, but the FG% is only 37.5%.

 

I like Steve Novak very much. So far he has shown that he's a great shooter, perhaps one of the best in the NBA. He has to show us a little bit more to be an everyday player. HE has to rebound, play defense and pass the ball better.
So far so good

 

This is what Bull did a few years ago, somewhat. If Novak forces defenses to adjust, he won't need to shoot in order to be effective while he's on the floor. Slashers like Tracy and Snyder and our low posters Yao and Bonzi will be able to shred defenses.

If Snyder stays focused all year, we got the biggest steal in the NBA, including Bonzi. He's the chalkboard example of what I've called for in a SG compliment for Yao and Tracy. He's an athletic slasher who takes it to the rack, plays tough defense, doesn't take any stuff from anybody and knows his place on the team. If his 3pt shooting is near 40%, he's da man. But it's still way too early.

I prefer start the Novik at PF.

I really want to see the team play like the year before last season. When sura, JB, DW on the court, they shoot 3s, beat the Suns.

You can tell he's not quite in game shape yet. He's not getting very much lift on his jumps and he's just a step slower than he usually is.

This stuff will get worked out in the long run. He just needs some time.
