I thought of that too, but I think the best thing would be to play some of them if the others are sucking hind tit. DD
Exactly. You don't know how much of an advantage it is to have fresh legs half way through the game. McHale should have told Bud before the game expect playing time if the team is up in the second half. ClutchFans is a forum with many NBA fans, most of them Rockets fans. Different fans have different opinions.
Well to some he is I guess. He has been pretty danged good at doing everything for this team, but he looks tuckered to me. And his shooting has been pretty bad lately. DD
Great post, something else I'm begining to be concerned with is who finishes games. We've had so many different lineups in the 4th quarter how will you ever build chemistry down the line?
Why would you be confused, we do need a 3 for 1 or 2 for 1 trade, but since we don't have that now, we should be utilzing all the assets - if someone is not doing a good job, try someone else. And in a short compressed season, playing only 8 guys is going to cause fatigue injuries. There is nothing wrong with having a core 8, but sometimes you need to go deeper into your bench. Not to mention you have to explain to guys like Chase and TWill why they are not playing when they have nearly identical numbers to others like CLee and Parsons who are playing. There is not much of a drop off.....so why not try something to mix it up if your regulars are playing tired? Again, Popovich does it, and he only has what? 4 championships...what is McHale's overall record again? DD
Well his bowling ball style of play combined with big minutes and a shortened season will do that to you. I tought Dragic should have gotten ore minutes with Martin at the 2. Instead he ran Lowry and Dragic out there again.
The really small rotation will work against teams that also play small, but when Milwaukee went small most of their smalls were 6'8 or bigger. They could just shoot over our smalls. DD
Funny you mentioned that, It worked against Minny but this game I tought we should have went big and pounded the ball inside. We were up. slow the game down and have them make the adjustment.
Lets play Thabeet next game.. watch him put up 20/10/10.. and then we're gonna see a million threads about how we should always play Thabeet! Hahahaha.
He is a decent sized expiring now.....let's see if Morey can flip these expiring contracts for someone decent. DD
May not seem like a big deal now, but Mchale shouldn't have let the lead get to 12-0 before calling a timeout. It's important not to go down right off the bat by double digits. They busted their behinds to get back in it and ran out of gas late. 8-0 would have been enough, mainly because Houston looked out of it. It wasn't just bad bounces and great play by the Bucks. Then there was that stretch where they couldn't hit anything and they kept shooting threes....over, and over, and over again. Lowry needs to step up as the leader and lead by example, rather than getting caught up in it. Really they should all know better (martin, lee, dragic, lowry). They aren't new to the NBA. At that point McHale should have yanked someone out and sent in a sub. Tell Twill to get out there and get to the rim if he wants to earn more PT. Nice all around game for Parsons... 16/7/5/2/2. They're going to have to work on connecting the pass on the alley oops. 2 of them at the rim and Parsons wasnt able to catch them cleanly. Overall, disappointing loss, considering they had the lead and Bogut was done.
Don't get me wrong I don't disagree with you. 8 players is way too short. I don't know why C-bud landed in the doghouse but either him or T-Will should have played tonight.
I really don't get what's wrong with calling a player or a person an asset. When you're applying for a job, you tell the recruiter you'd be an asset to their organization. I really don't understand the negative connotation. People can and should be assets.
