There's no reason to watch the Rockets games till the playoffs now.

Ofcourse, I'm watching the Astros losing too. So in the end. I'm still wasting 2-3hrs of my time.

I did buy a 42 inch LCD tv for the playoffs though! :D

rest them for a few games sure. but u want to give them some games to warm up, esp. tmac. he needs to start shooting better. just let them rest for all the games except the last 3 games. play them 25-28 mins. have to keep them in a rhythm

If T-Mac and Yao don't play we won't be a 50 win ball club that's for sure. Not that it REALLY matters, just saying.

Anyways, Portland is so bad they barely beat us even without Yao and T-Mac. That's not so bad. They were missing 2 key pieces though.

I agree, those were clutch, but that doesn't make him a bit clutch. Making freethrows is one thing, missing almost every single down-the-stretch shot is another thing.

Here is his clutch stat from the

    Laker game

    R.Alston G 48:06 6-18 3-11 4-4

    Clipper game
    R.Alston G 39:56 4-13 1-8 5-5

    Those are real clutch stats??!!?

Portland is Portland... a contender should be deep enough that they can still win against Portland when 2 of 5 starters are missing.

I rather have a healthy team in the playoffs. The rate that JVG played the starters all season shows how much developing a bench is really important. Not to say that the bench players will play huge minutes in the playoffs but giving the starters a break during the reagular season was vital.

Really whether we win or lose in the playoffs depends on tmac's FG %. Look at the dallas series, when he shot well we won, when he didn't we lost. Simple as that.

Three game losing streak, not what you want for a team going into the playoffs. JVG better get his s**t straight and get this team going in the right direction.

Portland shot 10 more free throws. That's the game.

I guess they were auditioning Bonzi tonight to see if maybe just maybe he would play a role in the playoffs.

And if the answer is based on just tonight, you would have to say no.

I wish Bonzi would have taken the time to get in shape....but he is just a shell of the player he used to be, even last year in the playoffs....

    Dang.

Actually, he looked good in the second half. Probably just shaking off the rust in the first half. I think he should get another go next game

Those are stats for the whole game. Do you actually know the definition of clutch? Look at the stats for the 4th quarter for the season and you'll see that Alston has been one of the clutchest players for us.

but that was when yao was inconsistent. he didn't demand a double team or at least have that presence of better give me a double team. yao does now.

tmac does not have to play like he did v. the mavs b/c he's more of a playmaker now and the offense flows through yao more than it did two yrs ago. but tmac needs to make 45% of his shots. again to do that, just finish better.

Yuh, cozs Yao is a reliable force with no-gas on finish, T-mac is a unreliable force with unreliable finish, and you just cannot really count on rest of the team.

serious, tmac is as clutch as they come. he just needs to get it together. just forget about anyone on the court, even yao.

it's a bad SHOOTING stretch for him. he's been doing other things very well, including defense.

its a good loss if we're looking down the line and looking at draft position. We're ahead enough of lakers to try to position ourselves so that we're picking ahead of cavs and bulls.

this is the last thing i would expect from a coach like JVG.
we threw in the towel and settled for 5th seed.
if home court advantage didnt matter why the hell did he start the red rowdies.
its obvious JVG is worried because our superstars are brittle.

this is not the way you want to go into the playoffs IMO
theres still almost 3 weeks until the playoffs!!!
