hopefully this isn't the last game thread of the year

 

Parsons was the one who brought us back in game 4 last year, he was the aggressor, ow how times have changed..let's hope he can bring it back!! I don't expect Harden to bring us home, he needs others to step up before he can get it going.

 

I expect a Mchale firing right after the game if that were the case.

 

This game, this series, the rocket's playoff lives boil down to one man: James Harden. Even if the refs get it wrong, Lin screws up a play in the final seconds of the game, McHale runs the wrong matchups, it still boils down to the Beard. If he has a great game, we stay alive, if he doesn't, well then we all know the rest. All we can do is remember the man he was, and hope he does the same. Does the Beard show up to this game? I'm not so sure he will...

 

If any team in this year's playoffs have the hot/cold streak potential to win the next three games, it's the goddang rockets.

3 game win streak starts tonight, lets get it

 

if i remember correctly, 1st 2 games aldridge went crazy points wise, lillard has been an all star but the rockets could and should have won every game with exception of game 2.

it's like the rockets can't get out of 3rd gear and pull away or play their game for all 4 quarters. man it's frustrating they can't hold leads. especially when the other team didn't use hack a dwight to cut the lead in the last game.

it looks not so good but i'm not going to say its over until it is actually over.

And then was immediately hired as interim coach to replace Kevin McHale for the rest of the playoffs.

No? Well, he should've been.

 

Rockets should win the next game. But it will require more effort from Harden to move the ball consistently throughout the game, and to find the hot hand and the open shooter. The Rockets are much better scorers than the Portland players. That means he has to let Howard dominate when he has the favorable matchup, and position himself to get extra points off of passes and rebounds.

Part of the reason Lin has had one of the better +/- on the team in this series is because he is finding the hot scorer at that point in the game. McHale has underutilized Lin's ability to run the offense, find the open shooter and do pick and roll with both Harden/Howard and post-up to Howard. His post-passing has been on the mark. When the offense stagnates, mistakes and bad shots happen. In the playoffs a bad shot is really no different from a turnover...it's a wasted possession.
