I expect POR to ease up on Yao this time. They have paid the price for letting Luis Scola and Carl Landry have their way - a huge 29 points combined on a low-scoring game. And Yao must find his way, I bet he's frustrated with the way POR's playing him.

    For now, cheers on!

    Go Rox, take G4! :D

Fronting Yao and letting the role players take his shots are the best chance Portland has at beating Houston. I don't think they're gonna stop frustrating Yao.

This is an important game ... Yao needs to get himself loose somehow by either being more aggressive and doing his work early getting position in the post or by getting himself more involved with the offensive boards. Either way in both scenarios, it involves sealing in the post better.

    Keys to a win:

    1. Control the boards.
    2. Defense.
    3. Don't waste time trying to get Yao the ball if he is covered. Recognize what they are doing and move the ball. No more over-dribbling in one spot please.

The execution in last night's 4th quarter left a lot to be desired. I hope they do better.

From G1, POR has Yao in their hands. Stopped Yao in G2, but POR's win was just a measly 4 points. Stopped him again in G3, the Rox still won. So I might be thinking POR could change up defensively this time, who knows? They may give a little more attention on the weakside on him - on Scola and Landry (or Chuck too), that is. Then Yao can do better with a lax defense on him. (Go down Oden!) Just a speculation though.

In a different light, they might. They might continue frustrating him in this series. But this doesn't mean Yao should let those bigs abuse him, he has to beat them on the O somehow, in any way possible.

For the time being, I just hope that Scolandry can perform consistently like what they did last game for the next games. I like our chances still. ;)

Unless Nate Mcmillan still wants to leave Scolandry open for those 18ft jumpers which they makre more than they miss, Yao should be getting more touches in this game. Won't be expecting huge numbers from him because he will be fronted nonetheless, but i definately expect him to hit the double digits this time.

Obviously the keys to our defense is shutting down Roy and Aldrige, and i think we're more than capable in doing that and i hope to see Ronron reproduce his defensive performance in game 3. That being said, i also hope they he'd be a little more involved in the offense because as much as i love Battier, i don't think he'll be able to produce another big offensive night in game 4.

Oh and Rockets win by 8+

Quite frankly, Game 4 decides the whole series. If Houston wins, Rockets win the series in 6. If Portland wins this one, Blazers take the series in 7. The amount of confidence the Blazers would get from winning Game 4 on the road can't even be measured. MUST WIN!
