Sorry guys, but yet another stupid coaching sequence by JVG.

He took Yao/T-Mac out of the game and put scrubs (i.e. everyone on the Rox roster not named Yao or Tracy) into the game, which got Portland shooters hot and now they can't miss, which is what tends to happen when you combine the fact of JVG not liking to defend the perimeter and the fact that basketball is a rhythem game and when you let any team get hot they will stay hot for a stretch.

This team is so Yao/Tracy dependent it ain't even funny! I have never seen a team so dependent on two players, and apparently every outside observer (Doug Collins among others) who has watched this team play sees the same thing.

Sad, we need a half-decent supporting cast around these two guys, it's unfair to them and it will only make sure that they're worn out and injury-prone the rest of their careers having to carry such a load every game of every season.

    That about sums it up.

But for all you guys whining about being down, there is no way we're going to lose this game so just chill out. No way T-Mac or Yao will let us lose this game.

I agree with that wholeheartedly. There's no way they'd be able to live with the fact of letting a 'gimme' game get away at this point in the season where every single game is a must win..

You leave an NBA shooter wide-open every single position and he gets hot and you will suffer, regardless of who it is.

JVG just doesn't like defensing the perimeter, it really pisses me off and I have no earthly idea as to why he insists on doing so.

JVG is losing his touching here. His substitution pattern lost too much games lately. Well, almost all the losing games lately had something to do with his substitution.

JVG should take a break and regroup himself in New York.

He is one stubborn sunofabeeeeech. How many times do perimeter shooters have to burn us for him to realize that we need to cover them? I have never seen a coach so slow or inept to make adjustments in game.

His substitution patterns, as you said, are hilarious.

Unless you leave Rockets shooters open. Perhaps that's the problem. We are over-talented. We defy the odds.

Again, you're blaming the coach for his "substitution pattern"? Come on ! who the hell should he be substituing instead?

JVG will just blame it on not having intensity if they lose.

Well swift was out-performing howard (yet again), but JVG plays howard AT THE MAJORITY OF THE MINUTES AT THE PF.
