The Rockets better bring their "ENGERGY" tonight! Dont let the Blazers out work them on the glass or up and down the floor. Hold them to one shot. That is important!

It's a tough game to us facing with the potential rival for 8th Western Conference.

Hopefully Steve could redeem his shot&confidence,Cat keep his fantastic state, and Yao beat double team consistently.

If we use a zone, they're doomed.

Otherwise, it could go either way.

They lack range. Ratliff is no good at scoring, while Reef and Randolph MUST operate near the basket, they can't consistently hit from outside.

I think the key to this game is Mobley and Francis' defense; if their decent is even decent we'll win easily.

I smell a loss tonight and a win on Sunday.

Also have a great feeling about Yao-Shaq V next Wednesday.

Portland got this one. Yao's rebounding has been subpar of late. Steve has been in a funk offensively. The Blazers are hot right now. I hope I'm wrong, though.

My first ever prediction. I think I'm right.

very important game.....rocks need to post a big one against one of the talent filled yet mediocre teams in the west.....they need to put some space between the nuggets and hopefully catch the grizzlies......we should begin a winning streak today......

I think a key to this game will be spacing.

Without Rasheed/Pippen/Bonzi they don't have much size or help defense on Yao. SAR and Randolph are both not good defenders and the only one to worry about is Ruben Patterson.

JimJax really has to nail his jumper to keep them from collapsing.

Although I hate saying it the refs will be a key to this game. Ratliff is physical as hell w/ Yao and will hold/hack etc. his way as long as the refs let him. Remember Yao was so pissed he slammed one down on his face and got a tech for taunting afterward last year.

Help defense will be a key as well on Damon's pick and rolls. Yao is going to have to come out and help and not worry about the inside. Weatherspoon/Taylor/Cato are going to have to protect the paint well in these situations. It may even be plausible to play a Yao/Cato/Weatherspoon/Jackson/Francis lineup as well to defend the pick and roll better.

Key is to contain Zach Randolph! If we can get this guy under control, then all is good. Damon Stoudamire may also bring some problems, especially his 3-point shooting, but I think SF could take him.

Unlike most guys, I am optomistic about this game. Blazers are not very strong at the offense end after their trade. This should be good for ROX.

But I am concerned how SF and MOT would play. These two guys were recently disappointing to FANs

Mo was a dependable force from our bench, but last two games he was totally disappeared on offense side. hope, he can figure it out in 2nite game. fortunately, we got spoon going on. otherwise, our bench will be a complete disaster 2nite.

sorry... have a bad feeling about this one.

ratliff is probably the best defender of yao. cato and motay can't stop dolph. sars is gonna have a field day. and mighty mouse being guarded by francis. sigh.

    oh well... i still say
