Randolph is in his third year and is one of the most dominant players in the league.

The guy can't miss if he is closer than 6ft to the basket, he can hit the mid-range if needed, and is a rebounding machine.

    I want him. :)

Man, everything went downhill right when Francis checked into the game in the fourth quarter. Thank God that we managed to pull out the victory.

The faith made me to be that way.
When I said something bad, Rockets usually did the opposite.
I predicted every lose and Rockets won every game.

OK, I am going to predict next game is a win.

We are the only division in the league that every team has a winning record. Rockets are third. Wow. 'Don't mess with the midwest!' Oh yeah. Monopoly! Loving it.

Ok, i didn't see the game again...but i truly enjoyed the thread, starting with page 1 and going in order when i woke up...

I was astounded by some of the posts and am therefore preparing my recap of tonight's action.

Great win by the Rocks though....

    Saleem,
How is it they won, if they obviously lack mental toughness ? I think some people don't understand that teams will have bad spells during a game. It doesn't have anything to do with mental toughness. They just could not execute properly. Mental toughness is what made them hold on to the game even though they had blown a 10 point lead, late in the game.

We can't get Randolph just because he is already a great play.
We should get someone at his potential but not yet explode.
    EG is our forever pain.

So true. I imagine Nick sitting at a desk in an office somewhere today. He crumples up a piece of paper and tosses it at the trash basket, only to have it bounce off the rim. Next thing you know, Nick is on the floor in the fetal position, sobbing uncontrollably.

After reading the thread post by post (kinda like a play by play) i decided to recap the action and reward certain community members for their special contributions to my morning read. It's the LOSER OF THE GAME award (LOTG).

    Here's a recap of tonight's LOTG action:

A few moments later, RocksMillenium shows his lack of mental toughness as he loses all chances of clinching tonight's LOTG by adding:

    Weak, very weak...

rocketman113 on the other hand, well he had no letdown. Good steady game for him, here's a sample:

Keep up the classy posts rocketman113 ! Unfortunately you faded when it counted most...

Altough it was a very close call, i decided to give the game ball to WNBA because he was still going strong in the clutch:

Yes you are tonight's LOTG !!! Give it up for WNBA !!!

rocketman113 gets runner up, and RocksMillenium (far behind) round out the top three.

    PS:
Honorary mention for JBIIRockets and silentfan for their respective posts early in the 4th

although yao missed 2 fts at the end, it's a positive sign to see that he's not afraid of taking clutch shots. seems like he feels he can take the team on his back and bring it home. definitely a good sign of things to come.

with the missed freebies, i remembered he also missed a couple of freethrows toward the end of the warriors game which would have sealed it. anyways, he needs to forget about them and hopefully it would happen again. he knows he can hit them freebies, just a mental thing more than anything i suppose. it's not just Yao however, VanGundy pointed out that the Rockets as a team (apart from mobley) has not been hitting their freethrows in the 4th quarter.

Rox have been able to build leads in games and for some reason they've allowed teams to come back and nearly win the games. that's not a good sign and im sure vangundy and the rox will figure that out. when the rox are pressured, they have no clue.

Great win tonight, even though there was a HUGE scare at the end because of the collapse, the team still held on to win it.

Yao was great done to the wire with his hook shot, but those free throws clanking almost game me a heart attack.

SF still is searching for his shot but man that one he hit to give us the lead was HUGE.

Taylor has been great yet again, Cato did his job, and MObely was insane tonight. So many great drives for the layups.

only 8 pages after a win

i like the win especially after lost the 10 points advantage and trailed. although you could argue that it should never have happened but i kinda like the toughness the player showed in the last minute. it's moments like this that carry you to the next level.

Let's hope Portland can tire the Spurs out some tonight so they will be weary when they come into TC on Thursday.

No, I really don't expect them to be that high. I'm sticking with the 7th or 8th seed. I see far too many holes on this team - especially on the front line - for them to finish that high.
