Tmac plays well away the home, and Yao plays well at the home, plus that there is a back-back game for Blazers, the Rox will win this one.

last yr in the playoffs dominated at home. but generally he does not i agree.

but we need them BOTH to play well at the same time more consistently like that lakers game. we're just on another level when they do.

a WIN for sure, but I really want to see SF3 on the court. I mean, is that so terrible?

I know blazer is having a back to back, but they lost big last night, might be more focused tonight. Hope Rockets can concentrate and not take weak teams for granted.

Well they used to do it. We'll see what will happen this season.

ANd yes Blazers have tough situation. Back to back games, and they are 0-2.

    this is from chron....

"Ciao,Jon! I heard that yao wore a bandage last night since he had tore his left arm ligament in training,is it serious?

(If it was torn, it would be very serious. It was hyperextended. Keith Jones and Yao said it was not serious. http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/bk/bkn/5267158.html -- Jonathan)"

Yao will have a bounce back game tonight by dropping 26 pts and snatching 11 rebs. Meanwhile, T-Mac continues his hot streak to finish with a game high 31 pts and handing out 7 assists. Mike James, Bonzi and Scola will do the rest and help the rockets to a 101-97 win over the blazers. A perfect 3-0 start for the new look houston rockets.

Just no injuries, please. That's key.

Well maybe Yao was a little sorness with Jazz but with LA he looked good.

Yao may be on a mission tonite after missing most of the first half last game due to foul trouble. I look for him to come up with 20pts/10rbs/4asts/2blcks at least tonite. Players will be pumped up for the home opener. Hope it doesn't negatively affect their game. All signs say we should win this game fairly easily (10+ pt win).

    Back-to-back game or not,

It’s also back-to-back losses for Portland. So look for a team that is HUNGRY.
And these guys are young and athletic. So the fatigue factor might not be so much. We definitely don't want to be caught sleeping on our home opener.

That said, Yao’s last game against Portland in April was a 27-12 game for him.

Let’s blast these guys right out of the water. These guys are young. Let’s see cuts, passing, and just demoralize their defense.

    Rockets 115
    Blazers 89

if it is a blowout, then im sure he will play. its sad. steve isnt a bad guy, but i agree with how adelman has lined up the rotation without steve in the middle. theres no way he plays over mike james. if luther head is getting just 9 mins a game, then why would steve get more than that? luther is a better shooter, defender, and is in shape. blowout is the only way he gets on the court. if the rockets ever felt compelled to trade him, im sure there will be at least some teams that will find regular minutes for him. he still has a load of athleticism, despite being out of shape. the compliment to the rockets about this is that it says how good our guards are. steve will hopefully find a good situation where he can be an impact player.

i wouldnt even go as far as to say this will be a blowout. portland is a very talented young team. lamarcus aldridge is going to be the guy to keep an eye on.

    also,
    if scola gets the minutes,

now taking bets for scola to have a bigger impact on tonight's game than outlaw or aldridge.
