This is not a game to look past. CBark summed it up best with his analysis at the end of the Rockets-Lakers game - "Thur ain't a team that so much betta than anotha team in the NBA right nah. It's like when I played bahk in thu day. When I went to 'Lanta, I had to face Dominique. Ev'ry game was a showdown." - But then again Toronto blew out the Nets (also Barkley's pick for champ of the east), so what do his predictions mean anyway. Rox 97-90.

Other notes of interest on issues of no actual import, on espn.com they've got predictions for end of the year award recipients and there are some votes for Yao for MVP and for Bonzi for 6th man. Also, if Kobe scores less than 31 tonight, TMac will be the leagues leading scorer. Just in case, you wanna know some inane facts that don't really matter in the larger scheme of the season.

By the Power of Greyskull...... Rockets will show that they have the poweeeerrrrrrrrrr..........

Rockets win by at least 8 points. The MacMing combo delivers a 55 point knock out punch.

I'm a little amused at most people here being so dismissive of a Blazers team that played quite competitively against the Spurs on opening night.

Who wants to bet that if it actually does turn out to be a close game, people will start chiding the Rockets for "underestimating" the opponent?

If we can handle the jazz on the road, we can handle the blaze at home.

Find that amusing too  :D

they got blown out by 20 by the hornets.

if we take them lightly, yes it will be a close game.

but yao will look to redeem himself. tmac will look to continue his return to the top 3 in the L. our bench wants to show they can ball. most importantly, we're still looking to improve.

look for our starters to do a better job opening the game.

Our starters want to put up bigger numbers this game after the Utah game.
Tracy McGrady will have another 30+ point game.
Yao says we must protect this house.

If Portland is shell shocked on the second leg of a back to back:
    112-88 Rockets

If Portland is hungry after the Hornets game:
    101-95

We need to get mentally ready for the Dallas/San Antonio back to back.

Dallas lost to Atlanta, Phoenix lost to LA. I guess we are the ones to beat in the West. I expect a 40 point blowout. Anything less would be uncivilized.

And Yao gets 40 pts :D
