Kids and the Bear deserved to have little fun, the team does not.

And he deserves to be blasted as well as his teammates. Even the coach is on record blasting the skit out of their performance thus far. Yes its early but guess what, time waits for no man. And if they don't get their acts together, we're a lottery team watching the playoffs from the couch. Chris Paul is getting paid up there with the top level players, well hell play like it is all I'm saying.

Why did we let Luc go? I can understand Ariza's 15 MM, but couldn't we have found a way to keep one?

Rockets are easy kills right now. I came home around the 1st quarter of the game and I was watching the game from a distance, I told my friends the white jersey team (I assume Rockets) is going to win. The white jersey team was passing the ball, changing to many hands before a shot was taken. Until I looked closely it was the Blazers. Besides shooting better, the Rockets need to go back to pass the hot potato unless they shoot better than the other team to win, or the other teams shoot like the current Rockets. They need to find easier shots than low percentage shots (3pt), or man in the face shots. It is easy scouting the Rockets when GG, EGo, Capela, or PTucker gets the ball, teams should know that ball ain't coming out of their hands. Start playing unselfish ball, they can reverse this ship currently named Titanic. Credit the other teams, they want to beat last year's 2nd best team in the playoffs. Nets game can't come sooner.

WOW....1-5 and another blow out. So happy I haven't tuned in yet this season. Texans currently have my attention.....lol. We'll see for how long. Both franchises are fools gold.

From a Cap perspective, here's the explanation wrt Luc (don't shoot the messenger, please).

Luc signed for $4.32m. We could only match that with the mini-MLE capped at $5.19m. However, we also wanted to sign Isaiah to a 3yr contract, which avoids the Arenas poison pill that the Minimum Exception does not -- so that was $838k of the MLE. Then we also wanted to reserve the right to do the same thing with Melton (prior to trading him). And none of that includes reserving some for the Buyout market in March.

(btw: if the reported salary of Luc is off by a mere $40,000, then we couldn't even sign any rookies using the remainder.)

bottomline: we got outbid, because we wanted to sign both Isaiah and Melton, to more years than Min Exception allows, and to keep some for the buyout market. Plus, at the time, we thought we might need to keep some of the MLE for Melo.

I know it's tough to accept that freedom of movement foul call affecting the nba as a whole to the tune of the scoring averages surplusing like crazy... but it has and adversely been a killer for the Rockets style of play in terms of effectiveness.
