The Blazers at this rate will be out of the playoffs picture. They are pretty bad right now but missing three starters will do that.

We really don't know what he's getting just that teams want

him. Toronto ain't no dummies, they are not going to give him away for a bag of chips.

We keep them because their value is low, if teams aren't giving us what we want, then we have 0 reason to trade them.

Keeping these players keep our depth and flexibility, trading them in a desperate move to lose games loses our flexibility.

Why wouldn't he want to come here? That's about just a fair enough question. If the Rockets were to finish in the playoffs and be competitive why wouldn't he want to come here? Where else is he going to go? Remember, contending teams are up against the cap. He can't go to BKN, he can't go to LA, it would not be all that hard to sell someone like KAT on playing with Wood and a deep defensive team and playing in 2nd tier market.

No, the odds aren't higher. You keep saying that but drafting in the top 5 is still a complete crapshoot man. No matter how many times you want to deny it, this is the truth.

EVEN if you hit on a guy you might be hitting on a player that's just an all-star, like LMA, and nothing more than that.

 

Some of these guys aren't top 5 picks and some of these guys come ONCE every 5 drafts or so.

Also in each of those drafts outside of like the Lebron one which was a historically good draft...there are multiple busts that you are ignoring.

Simple fact, most top 5 players are bust. It's a fact. You can look at any draft outside of like the Lebron draft and see that only around 2 guys are even all-stars in the league.

Some of these dudes don't even be relevant. When's the last time you heard about Thabeet or MKG?

He's not going for a high lottery pick. Also because teams who want to win now are trading for him.

Umm Tucker's value is only getting lower, we arent resigning Oladipo for 25 million because thats what he turned down. There is literally no reason not to trade him. House will be traded.

Keeping what players??? These are all players that will have to go eventually. We HAVE to trade them. It does nothing for our flexibility this year, nothing. House is gonna leave in a year. Same with Nwaba. Brown is only signed for one year. Tucker and Oladipo will be gone by the deadline if they are smart.

If we have an all star player and have a solid team around him, THAT is when you try to go for a dude in FA, not when you have nothing here. We dont have dude's like that here.
