JVG should have the Rockets double Randolph immediately, rather than letting him back Howard down. If I were in his shoes, I would be willing to let Portland's perimeter players shoot.

They're already doubling T-Mac in the early going...it's going to be a long night the way his teammates are playing. His teammates are sleepwalking out there and making horrible passes that are resulting in turnovers.

The Rockets need to stay focused and put this game away early. There's no reason why Portland should give them any problems, Zach Randolph nonwithstanding.

14 point quarters aren't going to put anybody away.

Agreed. In the meantime, JVG needs to adjust and find ways to get McGrady the ball so that he can still be in a position to score. Juwan Howard and Rafer Alston aren't going to be able to win the game themselves, though Rafer will certainly try to if given the opportunity.

You must not have been watching them recently. They're a feisty team and certainly are NOT to be taken lightly.

There are no bad teams in the West, even Memphis can beat any team on any given night.

Portland would make the playoffs in the east.

Howard is grimacing in a lot of pain, has an icepack on his hand/wrist.

I have seen them recently, but the Rockets are good enough to beat them without difficulty. Sloppy play and turnovers won't get it done.

    oh boy...

juwon has his wrist wrapped up pretty good and he looks like he's in a lot of pain.

where is that trade for an extra big when you need it?

Juwon is hurt...that much is clear.

Rafer back to his 'O-fer' days of blowing layup after layup...I just get extremely frustrated watching this guy play. He tries hard and stays aggressive but it's ridiculous watching an NBA player making millions of bucks and yet can't make the easiest shot in the game.

I am in disgust right now...

i didn't see how it happened. his wrist is wrapped in ice. he looks to be in pain.

it doesn't look like he'll be back. maybe after numbing it with the ice pack? i hope.

That's really too bad if his injury is serious. He has been playing extremely well, and has become one of the Rockets most consistent players with Yao out. If he misses any time, things will be that much more difficult for McGrady. Perhaps this is where we see Bonzi Wells start to pick it up, as he will likely see more time if Howard cannot go.
