Did Vspan really have 2 fouls in 3 minutes, when we were already up by 30? What's up with that?

Great win tonight. For score 0-5:
    T-mac 5 unbelievable
Bonzi 5 Best play so far, kept rox in game when T-mac was double teamed.
    Deke 4 as usual
    Jho 4 stable
    Chuck 4 good rebound
    Head 3 off night
Battier 4 better shooting in 2nd
RA 3 back to his baseline shooting.
JVG 5 played V-span finally, looks unhappy, possibly wonder how to deal with Bonzi as he plays better and better.

I'll say, if bonzi plays like this, he will be untouchable in this team. With Healthy Yao, T-mac and Bonzi, man, hard to imagine....

Hes probably trying too hard to impress JVG. I have to say that JL3 shouldn't even get any minutes under such circumstance, just play Bill, Head, Novak, Padgett and Hayes. JL3 is purely a ballhog.

We found our steady 8 man rotation, with Lucas the primary man to give a temporary breather. When Yao comes, it'll be nine.

BTW, where's Snyder!!? Is he still hurt!?

He's healthy. Who should he replace?

    Luther or Bonzi?

He'll alternate with Lucas depending on the matchup and productivity. Head and Bonzi are the first off the bench.

Great result and a big win! Most enjoyable to watch!
JVG uses his head and enables McGrady to not overplay.
Still the game showed both our glaring deficiencies and our
    excellent defence.

    Luther...

not exactly "replace" him, but take some of his minutes depending on the matchup. nothing against Head, he has been sensational this year and his shooting is really great, but I dont think he is very effective without Yao simply because we are really lacking inside game and Luther is a strictly perimeter player. Snyder isn't as good a shooter but he has the ability to drive to the basket and to finish strong. I would really like to see Snyder (considering he is 100% healthy) because we are terribly missing easy shots, shots going to the basket...

here's a little something I found on Snyder while searching around:

jumped over the guy!! un-B-lievable!!!!

agree with rocketsmac.... use head or snyder depending on the matchups on the floor.

something i really love about this team is our ability - when healthy - to match up very well with a lot of teams, and our ability to counter and create mismatches for ourselves.

could still use a dependable backup (or perhaps starting...) pg, though.

He was out with a respiratory infection, I believe. And from what I remember from Chron report, he's still not 100percent with his hand injury either. He can play but they want to make sure he won't reinjure it. Which explains the genreal lack of playing time. Well, that and the fact that everyone else has been playing so well.

I still think JVG should mix Snyder in a little bit once he gets back...forget Baklava and JLIII, they have no role on this team this year. Snyder, on the other hand, gives us the size, defense and slashing ability off the bench.

I would like to see Snyder worked back into the rotation again...the fact that he got injured shouldn't be held against him, the guy started how many games for us this season?

What's that 'infection' he has again? Sounds like a made-up injury to me, I don't know why.

Was anyone at the game tonight? I didn't see it, but I can imagine the 3rd quarter was fun to watch.

Even during his worst years as a jerk on the Jailblazers he came across as charming during televised interviews.

I have a question concerning Lucas; what is the nature of his contract? is it possible to send him to the NBDL or maybe waive him? nothing against the guy, but I really dont think he can contribute to the team at all. apparently, he isn't a PG at all, he is a ballhoggin 2 trapped in a 5'10 frame. I really think this spot in the roster is somewhat really valuable and we can invest in something worth it.

I think one was a guarding foul and then he went up for a rebound next to a Trailblazer and they bumped side to side and Vspan knocked him on his @$$ - loose ball foul.

BTW sloppy 1st half, exciting 2nd half. Nice to see Hayes get his mojo back! I watched him closely guarding Randolph a few times and he was doing an excellent job - it was apparent Zach did not want to try Hayes a few times and he passed off.

Nice to hear about Hayes having a good game. And the best thing is that he only had 2 fouls in 31 minutes.
He did an excellent defensive job during the Spurs game as well, so maybe he's figuring things out.

Upper respiratory infection, according to Chronicle. I think someone on the board said it was a fancy name for the cold or flu.

The blazers might be the least talented team in the NBA when the hornets and celtics have pierce and paul healthy.

I mean seriously that looked like a college team playing a pro team. Randolph is a number 2 or number 3 option on a good-great team, roy looks solid but not superstarish, aldridge has potential, but that team is at least 2-3 years away.

In the first quarter it looked like the rockets expected a cakewalk. The 3rd quarter was the t-mac show and the 4th was for the fans as it was virtually over after 3 quarters.
