The whole starting 5 nearly shot 50 per cent each except for Fred who was 8-17. The shots are not always straight up shots though. Sometimes a player has to put up a shot at the end of a shot clock to try and beat the buzzer after getting a pass with 2 seconds left. People treat FGA's as if the shooting player was always in a great position to shoot it.

He certainly is....don't think his rebounding consistently every game doesn't matter and he's not bad as a defender either aside from offensive contribution. Yes, we need a shooter...but, I'm telling you. IMO that we need a backup big more than a shooter. If the defense is getting abused night in and night out pretty much, better shooting may not overcome the defensive deficiencies. Wish we had a rim protector coming off the bench.... a Walker Kessler type.

FVV's shooting % is normally not good. He is not all that efiicient at all. Landale a waste of money.Brooks is a really good defender and shoots the 3 well at times but considerably overpaid. Sengun is tremendous...love him. But, he is not a really good defender..another reason we need a really quality backup big. THEN go for shooting if not all done in one deal. JMO. Finally, I really like Ime but, he makes some head scratching decisions at times.Would be interesting to see if while he is rightfully leveling the teams shortcomings that he realized he has them too.

The whole starting five nearly shot 50% each except for Fred.

I guess it was hard reading Sengun's 64.7% and 11 from 17. And more points than Jalen on 7 less shot attempts.

Care to watch the 24 shots from Jalen again and tell us how many times he heaved it after getting a pass with 2 seconds left? I reckon it would be no more than 1, if that.

Once again, trying to talk up Jalen's game only emphasises just how non-existent the bar is for him.

See I knew you were being sarcastic bc you said we could get a first fornhik.
As soon as he put the ball down, he should have fouled bc there was no way he was going to contest that shot.

A Playoff team has to beat Portland at Home without its 3rd or 4th Option, that is the utmost important Task.....lol...

Tells you that they are not a Playoff team and overachieving.

Too Inconsistent and too many players like Jalen Green on the roster.

Yeah this was embarrassing on several fronts: line-ups, defense, missed dunks, trying to be cute and fancy with the ball, selfish play, FVV in the lane with nowhere to go, Brooks & FVV indecisiveness and odd turnovers, and of course substitutions when up 3 - why the **** was FVV in there in the first place?! And then he just jumps to the side....come on now.

You're right. He should have shot a lot more. We were talking about him playing SG anyway, because he shoots better than our SG, especially from behind the arc. That night Brooks and Green took 40 shots and made only 15. It's no wonder we lost.

This year is obviously still a developmental year despite what Ime said about making the playoffs.

Theyve punted on the season as far as im concerned.

Its like when kubiak first became coach for the Texans and he kept running Carr out there all year despite Sage being a better option. Jalen Green is david carr and even has some of the same excuses being made for him about the previous regime ruining him when in reality he just wasnt that good.

This is an evaluation year for Ime to see which guys he can move forward with and Green will not be one of them.

Yes the predominant, universal measure of scoring efficiency isn’t a great stat. Gotcha.

Win or lose the the Team needs to get back to playing D and moving the ball consistently like they did earlier in the year. Haven’t liked the play for the past month. Defense has dropped by a lot, lackluster and uninspiring efforts not gonna cut it…

Opponents shot 31.8% from 3 against the Rockets in December and 38.6% in January. I'm sure some of that is defense, but a lot of that is just luck.

It’s what I’ve been harping on all year and the elephant in the room….we’re too small and basketball in general is a tall persons game. No size small ball takes its toll as we have to work harder on a nightly basis than even a team that is playing back to backs. Just watch how difficult it was for us to get defensive rebounds over the Blazers last night. Poor FVV gives 1000% to try to outrebound and defend much bigger human beings but the overall results of small ball have always been the same….equals the playing field for teams like the Pistons and Blazers who we should be killing.

Fred's vertical limitations are getting exposed a little more each passing day. With him and Jalen as our backcourt we are capped as a 8-12 seed. This team is really going to take off once Amen/Cam can actually play winning basketball (I think Amen already kinda does).

Jalen did the thing again where he only functions for like a quarter and a half. He's like the DBFZ fusion dance mechanic where it has a time limit.

Prob worse loss of the year, overtaking the loss at home to Atlanta.

Unfortunately, I don't see the Rockets making the play in this year. These are games you have to find a way to win.

This team sucks ass around the rim in all respects, can't defend it, can't finish around it, can't rebound around it.
