    The problem is this...

There are some games where DMo looks very good and then there are games when he looks bad... Really Really Really Really Bad...

So when he has those bad games it's hard to justify him getting minutes.

I thought DMo was ahead of Jones in the preseason. Then all of a sudden Jones jumped into the scene and that's that.

What I don't understand is why DMo has not been used in the post when he's on the floor without Howard. Why is he used as a 3pt shooter when he's not that good doing it? I remember last year for a stretch, McHale kept calling post plays for Patterson, until Pat showed that he just couldn't cut it. DMo is by for a better post scorer than Patterson.

Does it occur to you that sometimes players tend to park outside the 3 range on their own? They think it is a Morey 3 point team so they can do what they think they do well..... errr wrong

DMo needs to give the team what it needs from him--good rim protection (not a lay-up line) and rebounding (I see him tapping the ball to teammates when he can't get it cleanly). That's the only way he can get minutes.

He's not a good 3 pt shooter. He can score in the post but has trouble holding his position. His key to minutes is not offense.

We complain when the bench loses leads that the starters have built or when coaches have to overplay Harden and Parsons. We lose to mediocre teams.

Coaches are still trying to stabilize the team. Development will have to wait. Players who are currently contributing will get the minutes. (Exception is Garcia but we don't have any other wing player.)

per 34 this season: 11.5ppg - 6.7rpg (and lots of tip in to teammates, especially on offense that does not count to stats) - 1.6bpg - 1.2TO

his real FG% should be very close or over 50%, so his points per 34 should be close to 15-20. Pretty much 6th player of the year. His defense is underrated, he makes lots of screens on offense and that's probably the reason why plays does not run for him in the post.

Also according to nba, he is pretty much fastest big man in the NBA with 4.4mph and only Beverley faster than him on our roster (Casspi same speed).

Dude has been with the team for a while, is 7 feet tall, and on a team that is in desperate need of big man minutes. And yet...he can't crack the rotation????

The problem isn't the team it's him. Going to the Vipers will not help. The problem is that he can't hit a jump shot and can't hold position. If you are a big man on any team and you can't play inside on D, and you can't post because you are too skinny, and can't hit a jump shot either, where do you fit in? On this team or any.

His jump shot will get more consistent with playing time? Whhhhhhaaaaat? Your jump shot doesn't get better playing 15 minutes 3 times a week. It gets better in PRACTICE. The thing AI never showed up for. Yes, practice. If he is not on the floor it's not because of the shots he is missing in the game, it's the shots he is missing in scrimmages. You got to show you belong on the floor before you get to be on the floor. You don't get to work your way into the rotation unless you are killing it in practice.

DMO needs to shut up and figure out how to solve the problems the coaches are outlining to him. And until he does that, he shouldn't be whining. That or he should quit the NBA and go back to Euroball.

It does occur to me that since DMo is dying to get on the floor, he will do whatever the coach tells him to do.

There are 5 or 6 guys on every team that don't get to play. Should they all make trade requests?

What happened to the guy's 3pt shot? Jeez, it's like get it right or give it up. It was so good in the Euro league. Now I just want to see that amazing hook shot of his over and over and over. Do that.

hard to make it onto a rotation on a team with an 8 man rotation at most.

Sometimes I wonder whether Mchale really even thinks there should be bench players.

    2011-12 season 3P%:
    Polish League 20-70 28.6%
    Euroleague 14-46 30.4%
    VTB United League 14-43 32.6%

Motiejunas never such such a great shooter to begin with. I don't know why people keep comparing him to Dirk when he's much closer to Luis Scola. Donatas also said Scola was his favorite player growing up and that he modeled his game after him.

DMo said that it was hard for him to get into a rhythm because he doesn't get any playing time. And I agree with him. It's hard to know what your teammates are gonna do if you don't play together a lot in a real game situation. You don't improve by sitting on the bench. And that's why he sometimes look very very bad.

According to Motiejunas agent there was a trade proposal from Celtics, but Rockets denied. Also seems like Mavericks interested in Motiejunas.

    Erildas Budraitis ‏@Erildas 11:00 AM - 14 Jan 14

Donatas Motiejunas' agent Bulotas told @SportoTV that many NBA teams are pursuing Motiejunas but Rockets ask too much for him.

    Erildas Budraitis ‏@Erildas 11:02 AM - 14 Jan 14

Bulotas also said that Motiejunas was close to be sent to Celtics, while Mavericks was another NBA team that showed serious interest.

The Hawks game I think was the best game of the year for D-Mo looking like he belongs on the court.
