Delfino and Harpring can shoot. Gentile is a sub-30% 3pt shooter according to the article. I hope he can improve. Otherwise he is not going to be very useful in D'Antoni's offense. And he is slow footed on defense.

He seems like a bigger and less wild version of Spanoulis. The TMac of Italy? :)

He has a scoring mentality, nothing to do with Papanikolaou, who always has been a role player whose biggest strength is rising team defense, rebounding, intangibles.

Delfino? Gentile is a more complete offensive player, worst shooter. Similar spirit and competitiveness, though.

I'm not overly optimistic about Gentility but I guess I'm cautiously optimistic that he will be able to contribute at a higher level then Brewer did last season.

Sounds like Jason Kidd with much less athleticism.

I was in Italy earlier this month and I actually managed to catch one of Gentile's games while I was in Milan.

He seemed aggressive with the basketball, but he got in foul trouble early and I couldn't see much else of what he could do.

I want him to be CARLOS DELFINO

Delfino was a luxury ball handler and shooter with the Rockets and his broken foot was the single biggest series decider for the Rockets not beating OKC in Harden's first playoff series with us.

If Aless can bring the intensity and improve his shooting, we are in excellent shape for our third guard

    Thank you, Sir.

The disheartening thing is that K-Pap was forecasted as a better shooter and –apparently– a better athlete.

I really liked Papanikolaou's game. He was tough, a great passer, very creative in the offense and a solid defender. I was actually disappointed when we traded him. I wouldn't even mind having him back and giving him another shot at it. Love those left-handed players!

As for Carlos Delfino, he was like a Bobby Sura for us, a truly special player that injuries shorted us of getting to have a true Rockets legend.

I don't see anything overly special about Gentile yet but sometimes you just have to see them in action to get it. I hope he brings something to this team because right now he just looks like a trade chip to me.
