Love Parsons....love Lin....love Asik....love Mook...love DMO....and I love the rest of the squad.... But JAMES MUTHAFUGGIN HARDEN is a bonafide stud. He's my dude.
The civility in this thread is surprising. Was expecting a bunch of anger that Lin was getting votes.
I like parsons play a lot. He's maximizing his skillset. Also like harden a lot. The rocket need another harden and parson type of talent.
1104 votes Patrick Patterson votes: 3 0.27% of total. Jeremy Lin votes: 517 Yeah I think its about to put the brakes on the Patsquatch promotion for someone else. We tried to boost the brand, but its just not gonna go places. I'm going with an "upside" pick in Donatas Motiejunas. He's one if he's to put it all together would be a type I can support. The knock on him pre-draft was he had some attitude issues, but to me his demeanor and approach are sound, and the physical aspects of the game need to develop.
When I was following Lin at the Knicks I could only root for 2 other players with genuine interest. On the Rockets I've found great stories in every player. Even Tony Douglas is now in my good books. Houston fosters great talent and great people. This organisation rocks.
Harden's the best player but my favorite is Parsons, for his play, his attitude and the fact that he came kind out of nowhere (2nd rounder promised to an overseas carreer)
I wish I could take my vote back and vote for Asik, I mean.. Greg Smith's cool and all but Asik is a monster!
Your reason is why Lin is so popular. If you talk about someone that came out of nowhere, Lin fits that profile to a T.
Asik for me. He makes the teams defense look somewhat respectable and is unstoppable on the offensive end when he's on. That 20 -19 game was pretty remarkable.
I'm a Lin fan who jumped on the Rockets bandwagon this season after he signed with Houston. I bought NBA LP just to watch every Rockets game. Yet I have to say, it is really hard to not fall in love with this team. Obviously every player on this team is genuine and unselfish, which makes them so easy to root for, but more than that all of them are underdogs with a chip on their shoulder and something larger to prove. Greg Smith undrafted, Parsons overlooked, Toney Douglas a whipping boy, Haden unworthy of a max contract, Asik nothing more than a backup center, and Lin... Everything happened for a reason. And I am so glad that Lin ended up with the Rockets. This is a team that I'd love to root for for many many years to come. Finally, I should thank the Rockets fans, you guys have been unsually gracious toward Lin, considering how poorly he played early in the season, and how crazy/annoying the LOF can be Go Rockets
Crazy. After Yao Ming left (favorite) it went to Kyle Lowry and Chuck Hayes. Now I never really thought about it and dont really have one. I would like one of these rookies to step up and become my fav. DM or White, honestly. Yes, I said White.
