Dude...you could simply not read it. There are some of us that from time to time may find something we need or want for a lower cost than we have been able to otherwise find it.
I don't know what you're seeing, but the majority and I mean like 90% of the posts in this thread are deals, not coupons.
We've added a new feature to the site at GetGrouby.com today. It's a personal training deal for Studio Fitness, a great private gym in the Heights. By clicking on "Select Deal," you can browse pics and bios of their top trainers and choose the one that best matches your workout style and goals. Pick your favorite, and you save 53% off personal training with the motivator of your own choosing! Somebody asked me a while back how this site is different from Groupon. Well, here's the first of several innovations in this space that we're rolling out. Groupon is focused on world domination at this point; we're trying to build a better mousetrap. That's how we're different. Also, Groupon has about 100x the traffic, staff, and budget we have at the moment, so be sure to share this link with your friends! http://www.getgrouby.com/houston
Hey I think the wording may be off in the deal today: Choose Between 5 One-hour and 3 Half-hour Sessions Why would anyone choose 3 half hour sessions over 5 one hour sessions. 5 hours > 90 minutes.
Thanks, Harrisment. That was a tricky one for our dyslexic Web guy. I forgot to post today's deal! There are still a few hours left for those interested: Choose half off at lunch or 43% off dinner at the Broken Spoke Cafe, the Belgian restaurant on Washington run by the former owner of Cafe Montrose. Go 'head, Get Grouby.
Hey Hippie: Just a suggestion.... i can see the Houston deal, but when I try to see the Los Angeles deal (because I'm going there NOT because it's necessarily a better city ) I get the prompt to log in. Not about to do that. Any way to see the deals for other cities without logging in? Groupon lets you.
Since you guys are whining about what makes a "deal" instead of giving them, here's one. Bing.com is offering 40% cashback at endless.com, a shoe and apparel site. The site itself is offering 20 bucks off if you spend a 100 bucks, so you could end up paying ~50 bucks after spending 110 bucks worth of gear. AND there's free 2 day shipping. 1) Need a bing cashback account 2) Search for endless.com (adblock OFF) at bing or goto Bing's shopping site and enter for there 3) You will know you're eligible for cashback at the site and their shopping cart. If you don't see it, repeat 1 and 2. 4) insane deal If you think those shoes are expensive, do a simple google search. They even have a pricematch policy.
That's because we haven't started running deals in LA yet! The more people sign up, the faster we'll get out there, but we're going to concentrate on Texas first. Believe me, Clutchfans will be the first to know when we expand... and these posts will waste TWICE as much time! Today's Get Grouby deal is for Memento Scanning, a company that will update and digitize your old photos, slides, and video tapes. Today, you can purchase their services for up to 58% off. Click the "Select Deal" button to choose the package/format that's right for you: http://bit.ly/aNRZ5i

Here's one I'll definitely be taking advantage of: 67% Off Laser Teeth Whitening from Bayou City Smiles! That's a savings of $401. I'm pretty pumped, those lasers really work.
Free subscription to Maxim magazine: http://www.mercurymagazines.com/pr1/169/16919?sssdmh=dm5.175552 There's no catch, I've gotten many free subscriptions doing this.
Does anybody know of any discount codes or where I can find a deal to stay at L'auberge Du Lac? Their rates are pretty ridiculous.
Sweet thanks. I used to get free maxims and stuff magazines back in the day through one of these. +1rep
Only way to get free rooms/discounts is to gamble there and build up credit. (and its probably cheaper in long run if you pay for it yourself). I used to go a lot when first graduated from college, and now I can usually get a free room anytime I want, but only go once a year. Either way, get the players card and give it to the dealers everytime you sit down.
