dont worry...if we give james anderson minutes...we will give thomas robinson minutes, especially because he is the 2nd biggest body and the most athletic big man on the team.

I'm not sure if he will start by the end of the season...but he will def be getting alot of playing time in my opinion.

what does greg smith really provide us?

someone who can finish around the basket...and a big body. well at the very least thomas robinson will be immediately be a better version of greg smith.

I thought that was THE highlight of the interview. If it's just some bench guy, then we would sign him to the league minimum.

Just throwing names out there:

Bobby Brown. PG, front runner for Euroleague MVP, team hurting for money.

Dionte Christmas. SG, Rockets wanted but could not sign him at the end of last season, because FIBA clearance didn't arrive in time. Just got cut by CSKA Moscow.
Looked good in the Summer League with the Celtics. Led the Euroleague in 3P% (55.6%).

Rockets obviously could use another center. Have been previously linked to Joey Dorsey & Aleks Maric. He's no Euro, but perhaps Greg Oden might be an option.

Interesting he said he tried to trade up for Robinson, I called this on draft day but the Kings loved him too. Makes you wonder how it went sour so quick.


Only good thing that can come from this for the Kings is if Patrick can be a sort of mentor or friend to keep Demarcus Cousins in check. If that can happen this could be good for them, Cousins could be a dominant force.

 

It could if you'd structure the contract in such way, but you very well could sign those guys just for the rest of the season or to multiple year deals with only the rest of the season being guaranteed, as the Rockets did with Beverley and James Anderson.
