What happens if Den, Hou, and Port end up in a 3 way tie? Do we have the tiebreaker?

We would get the 2nd seed due to being division champ and owning head to head with denver

Yeah. Not sure why I'm still logged on here. Looking for something positive to grasp on to, I guess, but this night pretty much sucks all around.

Home court with Utah round 1, then the Warriors in the Semis? Why does it matter when we face them?! We were always going to face them, and without homecourt. Get a grip people...

Rockets get the 2nd seed if Denver loses.

Surely the coaching staff talked to them about the implications of losing this game.

All this mental gymnastics to justify a crappier seed is hilarious.

This team shat the bed. Full stop.

That’s mental step over the door mat. Not gymnastics. It’s completely logical and not emotional.

It matters because there is no way the NBA will allow Golden State to go out in the second round.

Gotta give credit to the Lakers. They nearly beat a playoff-hungry, better team on a night of pure, toxic drama for their own franchise. I think I will look at the box score and look more fondly in the future on the guys that almost pulled that off.

Tomorrow, I'm a T-Wolves fan. If they can snatch that last game from Denver, then it doesn't matter if Portland beats the Kings. The 3+ tiebreaker rules come into effect, and we get the 2nd seed by being a division winner. Of course, I also am a backup Kings fan just in case.

I just want to be a 3rd seed or higher. Regardless of matchups, I just can't ignore the fact that historically only two teams have ever won it all with less than a 3rd seed. I don't know exactly why that is, but there's some non-trivial combination of factors that makes it true.

If we’re the 4 seed I’m not excited for playoffs anymore tbh

You would think...but someone should listen to that Harden interview...

Not sure what the question was but Harden goes "...to end up having a top 3 seed..."

So yeah...I'm now wondering if they knew they could drop to 4th, not that it matters or should matter, the game was right there for them to win.

But one of those two teams was us. And the other was the '69 Celtics.

To be fair we’re a top 3 seed rn. We won’t drop unless Portland wins. Hardens Just a positive thinker
