Wow, that 19 points held up dead on. I seriously thought your guys would pull it out. Great game.

2 ties in one season! A good reflection on the absolute mediocrity of my team.

Down goes Wallace. I own Wallace in all 5 leagues I am in this year.

I already invited a couple of people privately, but they refused or didn't respond.

Anyway, there will be a couple of openings in our fantasy baseball league this year, and I was wondering if anyone here would be interested in joining. It's a fanstar league with points based head-to-head scoring. It's very similar to this basketball league, except it's baseball, and each team has 4 keepers.

    Here is some information:

    - 2 game periods each week (Mon-Thur, Fri-Sun)
    - keeper league (4 players)
    - very active.. can trade players, draft picks, etc..
    - approx. $5.50 entry.. but bragging rights are priceless!

    League URL: http://www.fantasybaseballsite.com/baseball/clutchcity/

Let me know if you are interested. I am looking for active players who will not quit midway through the season (if you're having a bad season, that's the time to work out trades to improve for next year!). We already have a solid group of 8 people, but it seems the other two spots are like a revolving door with people who never stick around.

I just want to announce to everyone that I am stepping down from commissioner next year. Frankly, I may not even participate.

A recent event, coupled with season long complaints about the way the league is setup and other random dealings have led me to this decision. Whoever takes over next year, I highly suggest you spell every little detail out, so that no stone is left unturned. I'm not going into details about what happened, so don't ask.

If you're going to leave, you can always give me Al Jefferson as a parting gift. :p

But in all seriousness, some people take this **** way too seriously. Its a game with no money at stake. I mean I get pissed off and competitive just like everyone else and I don't like unfair play, but I thought you did a great job in your turn as Commish, especially with the alerts during the draft and the draft board.

I would be very sorry to see you leave. :(

Whoa... never like to hear anything like this. I think you are doing a good job overall, Pimp. Even though there have been some disagreements about things like the extra IR spot, # of playoff teams, etc.., you seem to have been consistent on your stances, which is the most important thing. Don't let that stuff get to you.

I can't help but wonder if this recent event has anything to do with the Telfair for Pietrus trade between you and jent that I noticed earlier today, which has now mysteriously vanished?

    ouch.

I just accepted the Jefferson trade and 10 seconds later just now read that he might be done for the year.

Be careful what you ask for.

Seriously though, I watched ESPN til about 11 and they didn't mention it once. Every story was about Kobe/Lebron and A-Roid. I almost feel bad that you did accept it.

Whatever's clever. It wouldn't be the first time and I'm tired of debating whether or not trades should or shouldn't be allowed (stopping short of debating this one).

I will only state that the only time I think trades should be recinded is if there is clear collusion or intent to wreck the league. Just my opinion.

Moe (everyone), do you think I should recinded it?

If the guy got hurt a day later or something, that's just bad luck. But Jefferson was injured before this trade was even accepted. Moe obviously did not know about the injury and would not have accepted had he known.

This exact same situation happened in football several years ago when someone accepted a Kurt Warner for Edgerrin James trade not knowing that James had recently suffered a serious knee injury. It was overturned almost unanimously.

I'm not a veto nazi by any means, but c'mon. Knowingly trading an injured player is bush league. You should have canceled it yourself as soon as you heard about the injury instead of leaving it out there for someone to unknowingly accept.

I didn't see anything about it until I read the NBA dish.

I checked the box score and it seemed like he had played a full game and everything.

Obviously had I known about this I never would have accepted.

I went to bed since ESPN wasn't even reporting it. This is not a jab at anyone, but I trust throughout the season that all managers keep up with the news reports and check them out before reacting to a trade proposal. That said, we all know that is not true.

Just for arguments sake, in reference to an at the time lopsided Sessions/Brewer for an injured Howard trade which no one complained about.

I'll reverse it, but you guys need to be better about managing your teams. I (other managers) shouldn't have to police your trades for you.

I had been in Austin all weekend. I check box scores religiously since I have Jefferson on one of my yahoo league teams I am always aware of whats going on in the games that way. I got your proposal over my phone and was mulling it over, I got home and did some stat research and decided to accept. Then I see a thread about the injury that was posted about 30 minutes ago. There was nothing about the injury being reported by any major networks or websites to my knowledge.

If you really want to call that my fault for not doing due diligence I guess I can't argue.

If you can accept this trade in good conscience then I guess you can. I was eliminated from the playoffs last night anyway.

I understand Moe. That's the thing, I couldn't find anything about the injury either until I woke up this morning. I do not want to be the guy that takes advantage of a questionable situation, so I will reverse it. Word from the horse (Jefferson)'s mouth is that it's not as bad as the MCL tweak he experienced over the summer anyway, so with a little luck, I could be good to go in a few weeks again.
