I am 100% clueless about college bball this year , i don't know a single thing about the bracket this year . Should i even attempt ?
Just sad. It's all about luck for some people. If you over analyze, you get busted... if you under analyze you get busted. This season, more so than others, will have more "luck" winners because of the match up analyzing since it's such an even tournament.
Yeah, okay. Texas IS a powerhouse dangerous team that has beaten uber strong teams all year long. In another words, don't bet the farm. The most like upset is Richmond or clemson or even Utah State.
Actually.. Oakland is a pretty dangerous team for Texas. Strong guard play and they have athleticism inside. Keith Benson is explosive. With that said, it's prob not likely but I wouldn't be surprised as a Horns fan if the Horns didn't show up and Oakland did upset.
I agree that they are a good team with nice players. Never said that, but it isn't like texas just limped into the tourny either. I mean anything is possible, but to act like texas is weak is just asking for trouble in my opinion.
I think Texas will be very motivated, but I'm worried that Benson's going to get Thompson in to early foul trouble. History shows that Thompson struggles against big, physical frontlines... he was nowhere to be found against Southern Cal and UNC, both stacked with NBA size in the low-post. I haven't really seen much of Benson, but if he's half as good as the talking heads are making him out to be, Texas could be in for a long day. Hopefully the guard play continues to dazzle... J'Covan's the x-factor, without a doubt. If he gets really hot over the next couple of weeks (he's proven he can explode for 15+ at the drop of a dime), Texas may very well be looking at Duke in their rear view mirror.
I would agree. I think Texas needs to start out playing at a high level to gain some momentum. That means... Johnson has to get his, along with Brown off the bench... and the rest of the usual scorers. Rebounding and FT shooting is prob the biggest key for the Horns in this tournament.
