Texas got robbed in the end with no foul called. They were up by 2 pts with 12 sec left

my bracket got ****ed bad today, but my final 4 still stands. Kansas, FL, Duke, OSU.

Why, is that is the same ref who caused us the UConn game? Why yes it is! Horrible horrible call. The call itself is almost surpassed in awfulocity by all the fans/journalists making up some rule that you cant call timeout after 4 seconds. Not to mention the non call on the other end on the offensive rebound. What a jobbing.

Seems like 4 seconds. He did look pretty eager to make the call as well.

 

on the vid, the first 4 seconds were fine but the last second was a half of a second.

WTF???

So Texas got called for a 4.5 second violation, if he got the 5 seconds right we would have had a time out ready.

 

Disgusting way to lose a game. Hard to emotionally invest and have an interest in something only to have it end like that. Terrible for the players. Discouraging to sports fans everywhere.

He was looking to make that call for some reason. I've never seen anything like it.

 

I don't know it that is a rule now, but I know it was a rule when I played 20 years ago.

 

I can say for a fact the ref did not get to five seconds. It's one second every time his arm is fully extended (I'm pretty sure this is correct, though I have not looked it up). He was clearly not at five seconds yet.

Now that I think about it, it was a bad call whether or not the 4 second rule exists. Under the 4 second rule the ref is supposed to ignore a time out call after 4 second, not call a violation. So whether the rule exists or not, the ref screwed up.
