2nd chance brackets will start after Sunday and have to filled out by next Thursday.... hopefully people do better with that.
Okay... Here is a strategy that failed me. Tennessee has problems, so I figured that they would go far. Remember when Arizona didn't belong in the tourney, so what they did was advance pretty far? That's what I thought would happen.
i thought my two brackets were identical and was happy when george mason won but apparently the only thing i have different is that i had villanova in the clutchfans bracket for some reason and that's keeping me out of sole possession of first right now. of course, having st. johns in the elite 8 won't be doing me any favors over the next few rounds.
Have had a good 2nd day... only miss so far has been Texas A&M losing to FSU... marquette taking care of business.
I'm not involved in this Yahoo bracket challenge, but I did fill out a paper bracket. So far I've got 23 of the 32 winners correct, and I only had one of the losers (Louisville) winning another game. Pretty happy with that.
My picks were God-awful in the first round, but I still have 13/16 of the Sweet 16 and all of the elite 8/final 4, so I could still recover and come out of this with a little respectability.
Wow Fernandez from Temple is a really terrible player, I was so excited that they were going to upset SDSU but that white kid just ruined everything.
SDSU is the worst no. 2 seed. They're so overrated. I really hope UConn (if they advance) crushes them and exposes the for the exaggerated frauds they really are. Temple just wasn't good enough to beat them, they wasted too much time. But that tells you everything about SDSU... it took 2 OT's for SDSU to beat a team like Temple.
Ha, if it wasn't for him they wouldn't even be playing today. He hit the game-winner against Penn St. He was A-10 tourney MVP last year, but has been a big disappointment this season. He's a junior, so we'll probably see him again this time next year.
What the hell happened in the game? I'm looking at the play by play and there was a bunch of fouls in the last second and the lead kept changing.
