I still find Cornell intriguing. I know they were ranked a few times in the regular season but they played no one, which of course is right on course for being the champion of a very weak conference. Yet they continue to amaze in that their best wins of the season have come in the tournament. Hell they played Harvard, Yale, Penn, Dartmouth, Brown etc like 45 times in the season and aside from a close loss to Kansas and a not very close loss to Syracuse, they played no one that was very good. They said white men can't jump? I beg to differ.
They did play No. 1 Kansas very close, even though losing by 5 points. But yes, they're Ivy League...
Go Big Red! Bring on Kentucky! I will admit, I have a hard time seeing them beating Kentucky but anything is possible. Hopefully there will be plenty of fans in the stadium because Syracuse is only 1 hour away.
Ya. Purdue did about as well as they could without Hummel. Next season should be great if no more injuries.
well all my elite eight teams (other than Kansas) are still alive. I would have liked to see A&M win, but they gave it a good try! Great first weekend of the tourney!
While I'm not going to tout the level of play of the Ivy league (considering their historical tournament performance and recruiting limitations, they're probably rated about right), I will say that all week on sports radio, I kept hearing how strong the Big East and the Big 12 were. After the opening weekend, Two Big East and Two Big 12 teams are still alive. That's why they play the games.
You are killing in the bracket. Wish I wouldn't have rode Minnesota those two games, and I knew Nova was not playing well. Still, I'm looking pretty solid. The tournament has not disappointed
Of course there is always a chance. There is a chance that Cornell will beat Kentucky too. Chances aren't so good but there is always a chance!
WVU lost its point guard in practice the other day and Washington is looking really good considering how much they underachieved this year. So yes they may very well win.
Wow, Jardine REALLY wanted to be the hero that woud bring Syracuse back, he refused to pass the ball in those final possesions
